He looked down with a slight nod, obvious upset. "Okay." *** She rolled her eyes playfully. "That's rude."
The executioner nodded. "May God have mercy on your soul, Xavier." He placed his hand on the lever before a shouting broke out. "Wait! Please wait! Please!" The hoarse voice would give him chills, and as he looked out across the crowd, he would see her, wearing the white hospital garb she had been changed into. Her bright blue eyes met his. The executioner looked over with a frown before his eyes widened with recognition. "Xav, it's okay. It's going to be okay," Ellie said, her voice rough from disuse. "It's going to be okay." * * * "I've said nice things. I can't let you get too big of a head."
He looked up and immediately started tearing up, his voice choking slightly. "Ellie?" *** "Don't worry," she said thoughtfully. "I don't think that will be a problem."
She ran up to the stage, her fingers brushing his neck as she loosened the knots of the rope, taking it off over his head. Her hands were trembling and she looked up at him, her brows furrowed. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" * * * "Hm. That was a test that you have failed."
He took her hands, his eyes searching her face as if he didn't want to ever forget her. "I'm okay. Are you okay?" *** She frowned slightly. "I've never really had much of a problem with overestimating myself."
Her eyes filled with tears and she slipped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his shoulder. "I thought you were gone. I thought I had lost you." * * * He looked over, his face soft before he rested his head on her shoulder playfully. "We'll work on it."
He hugged her back, holding her close. "I know. I felt the same way." *** She looked down at him with a smile. "Hey, Burke?"
She was quiet for a moment before pulling away, turning to the ground. “You should be ashamed of yourselves,” she said, her voice sharp and furious. “I am dismayed by the bloodthirsty nature of my people. Resume your ordinary duties.” *** He looked up playfully. “Hm?”
“Ten minutes ago,” she said, turning to look at him. “They told me you were dead.” *** He flushed, raising an eyebrow playfully. “Shut up.”
She hesitated, cupping his jaw. “I know. But I know that you didn’t do it.” *** “I know I’m cute. I don’t need you to tell me.”
She hesitated again before nodding. “Yes. But... it’s really complicated, Egg.” *** “Is it the farting dog? Cause that’s a real crowd pleaser.”
She pursed her lips, watching him carefully. "You don't know him," she said slowly. "But his name is Edward." * * * "Downright charming."
"No," she said slowly. "He... he's the man I was originally supposed to marry. Xav, he knows that you stole my father's heart." * * * (Zoop?)
