Xavier looked mildly upset, his brows furrowed. *** She tilted her head, taking a small breath. "It was."
Tristan turned and left the room and slammed the door behind him. Ellie frowned, turning to Xavier worriedly. * * * She would hear him laugh quietly. "We're drunk."
He hesitated, looking down. "They hate me." *** She nodded, leaning back onto the bed slowly. "I know."
She placed a hand on his chest, gently pushing him back to lie back down. "You shouldn't worry," she said with a frown. "They just... they don't have all the information." * * * "But I don't mind. Do you mind?"
Her hand rubbed his sternum gently as she sat back on her legs, frowning. "I don't know. I'll think of something." * * * He kissed her neck slowly again, his touch gentle and almost hesitant. "I'm glad we agree."
She looked down at him for a moment before moving, slipping her leg over his waist and sitting on him, leaning down to kiss his cheek. "Don't be sad." * * * He laughed, cupping her jaw as he looked up at her. "Do you want to...?"
He looked up at her slowly. "I love you." *** She paused, watching him for a moment before nodding. "Yeah."
She looked down at him thoughtfully, lying down against him. "I love you too. Husband." * * * He looked shocked, looking at her, his thumb brushing against her lips. "Really? I don't want to pressure you or anythin'..."
She laughed, shifting on top of him slightly to get more comfortable. "Egg." * * * He grinned at her mischievously, pulling her close before turning over.
He kissed her hand with a smile. "You're cute." *** (Zoop!) The next morning, Scarlet was asleep and stretched out on the bed.
She raised an eyebrow, propping her chin on his chest. "I'm the Queen, Xav. You can't just call me cute." * * * Burke was next to her, hugging her from behind, his arms wrapped around her waist and his head resting on her shoulder.
He grinned. "Of course I can. You're my wife." *** She shifted, her eyes fluttering open. She looked down quietly with a frown before looking back at Burke. A dark blush crossed her face as she slipped away carefully, picking up her clothes and putting them back on. She went back to bed, hiding her face in the pillow as she flushed.
“No,” she protested. “I’m the queen first and foremost.” *** A few minutes later, she would hear him groan as he woke, sitting up slightly. He looked down at himself before looking over at her, and she would hear him gasp slightly. “Oh, Jesus…“ She would feel him stand up quickly, grabbing his clothes and slipping them back on before sitting on the edge of the bed again.
She groaned, resting her forehead on his chest. *** He was pulling on a shirt, his back to her. She would see small marks on his neck, ones he hadn’t noticed yet. His blonde hair was untidy and he stood up, heading over to the kitchen area, rubbing the stubble on his chin worriedly as he opened the fridge.
He chuckled, rubbing her back. *** She blushed again, turning back into the pillow. She took a moment before sitting up and looking over at him with a tilted head. "Burke?"
She sat up after a moment, looking down at him with a frown. “Do you want to sleep more?” *** He looked over at her in surprise, his expression softening as he saw her. “Hey, Starlight,” he said with a yawn. “How’d you sleep?”
