He seemed a little surprised, but nodded. "Sure. That sounds good." *** She chuckled, her hand on his jaw.
She laughed slightly, taking his hand and moving back towards her room. (Zoop?) * * * He watched her, his hand reaching up to brush her hair back. "You really hold the stars in your eyes, Scarlet."
A while later, Ellie was next to him in the bed, her head on his chest. * * * "And I meant it," he replied honestly. "It's striking."
Xavier's arms were wrapped around her, his eyes closed. *** She sighed gently, her thumb brushing his jaw. "You're so sweet."
She shifted slightly, looking up at him and laughing slightly. "Are you sleeping?" * * * He laughed slightly, rolling his eyes. "Or foolish. Who tries to flirt with their robber?"
He opened an eye to look her playfully. "No.. Are you?" *** "That was flirting?" she asked with a small laugh. "Were you flirting?"
She kissed the base of his neck gently, stretching out next to him. "No, but I'm not the one with closed eyes." * * * "Nah, just commentin'," he replied with a small shrug.
She watched him before sitting up, her hand on his chest. "I'm going to go shower, okay?" * * * "Commenting is the key to your heart, apparently."
She stood up, rubbing the back of her neck before going into the bathroom. *** “And yet here we are.”
She came back out a few minutes later, her towel wrapped around herself, her hair wet. * * * He squinted before sitting up and kissing the tip of her nose.
She went over to the drawers, opening them with one hand as the sun hit her shoulder blades. Freckles dusted them in the afternoon sun. * * * "How do you figure?"
She looked over at him with a smile, tucking the clothing under her arm and turning to face him, her fingers brushing his chest. "What was that for?" * * * "Nah, darlin'. Of course you're not."
"You just think that because we made out," she said smoothly, standing on her toes to kiss his cheek. * * * "Don't be mad. It's Christmas."
