The small pony trots towards Axcin. "That was a neat show but we were too late for the Kitara. We are to track it down again but we know who has it at last." She said. "A tramp escaped with it in a Gummi Ship. Red and talks about how an entire empire is after him. The report is half finished. Once we have two Celestial Instruments, we ought to pay your brother and new friends a visit." (g2g Night All.)
Axcin snorted and lowered his drink. "Two Velestial Instruments should be fun to get! I don't see why we need them, though. One is enough. Besides, those pipsqueaks could be easily handled if I was allowed to go. If they become a thorn in our sides in the future, don't go blaming me! I just want to be the one to 'fix' them, got it?" He tossed the cup and retreated to his room where he jumped into his bed. 'Two Velestial Instruments...' he thought curiously. 'Such a power...I wonder what I could do with it...'
Ambiance took a seat as commanded. After strapping herself in (as best she could, anyway) she gazed about at the lights, buttons, switches and levers. "We have nothing like this in my world..." When the ship finally took off, she glanced out the window at the scene of carnage below and quickly pulled her head back. She felt that familiar pit in her stomach as she realized that another world had possibly fallen to the Heartless. And what were those other ones? 'Nobodies?' "It'll be easier to stomach if you don't watch." "Neigh. It isn't...", she muttered. "Uh my head what happened the last thing I remember is running up the the hanger and then it all went black. And why do I have such a headache." A welcome distraction... She turned toward the other keyblade wielder. "I did not see everything that happened, but I know that at some point, you fell unconscious. As of now, we are within Sir Buster's vessel. Do this:" She pressed her hooves against the sides of her head, just below her ears. "It can help allieviate your headache. Simply rub your temples for a short time. It always works for me." She flashed the most sincere smile she could muster. "Sir Buster, where do we go from here?" ----- Lux was, in fact, at an ice cream shop and although nopony tended the shop anymore, he had before him a half-eaten seasalt popcicle. "I still can find what Axel sees in these things..." His thoughts kept turning to the keyblade wielders. If there are two, how many more can there be? Axel will want to hear about this. He took another bite and winced. Brain freeze.
Buster scoffed at the title. "For future reference, do not address me as 'sir,' okay?" He said. "I haven't been knighted on any planet or in any galaxy. Such a title I am not worthy of. As for where we are going..." He hesitated. "I suppose it would be in order to land on one of the safer worlds, with less chance of us getting attacked by anything. It should be an hour or so before we make it, so..." He flipped on a switch, causing a bulb labeled 'Autopilot' to flip on. He pulled a lever on the side of his chair, and it spun around to face the duo behind him. "...We have time to talk." He finished. "First topic! Those weapons of yours. I've never seen anything like them, not to mention I've never seen anypony conjure a weapon out of thin air. You even used them to destroy the indestructible; heartless! Another thing, the presence of such a blade gave me the ability to destroy the bastards on my own. Please, an explanation would be ordeal here."
"My apologies, S- Ambiance caught herself using honorifics once more. Old habits die hard. "... I mean...Buster." She then glanced uncertainly around the cabin. She would have to give him the best explanation she could think of. "I've only come by this weapon fairly recently..." She paused, recollections of her world still fresh in mer mind. "During my darkest hour, I prayed to whatever deities might still be listening, and they granted me this weapon that I may drive back the demons." She bit her lip for a moment, then continued. "I feel as if it was made specifically for me. When it first came to me, it felt perfectly balanced, even moreso than my own blade which was crafted for me by the finest smiths in all of Equestria. As an added curiosity, nopony could disarm me, even if I allowed them to handle this wonderous blade. If would disappear from their grasp and return to mine. When I hold it in my jaws, I feel the words, 'Heart's Desire' ring in my mind and I feel at peace. I believe that this might be its name. I find it quite fitting." She shrugged at Buster's statement. "I do not know why you are able to defeat the demons when you were in proximity to either Sir Short Fuse or myself. My allies in my world were effected in a similar manner." She hung her head then. "But it was not enough to protect them..."
"Not enough to protect them, you say?" Buster said. "So your home world suffered a similar fate to this one? A shame. The heartless need to be dealt with, but there's nopony out there who can-" He realized what he was saying and glanced back at the other two. "You two...you both have the power to destroy these beings." He said with realization. "You can save the worlds from the heartless! Of course!" He got up and walked up to Ambiance. "If you could, please summon your weapon. I wish to inspect it a moment."
"I'll try." She closed her eyes and concentrated, and before long, her Keyblade appeared, clutched in her mouth. As the name implies, it had the appearance of a sword-sized key. The bow of the key was red and in the shape of a heart. This led to a silver shaft, which terminated in another, smaller heart-shaped bit. A small chain dangled from the edge of the bow and at teh end of the chain was a tiny lock, which matched Ambiance's Cutie Mark. Gently, she set it bit-end down on the ground while resting a hoof on the bow. "I'd let you handle it, but I don't want to risk it disappearing. This is the best I can do."
Short rubbed his head some more when buster turned his chair around. "First topic! Those weapons of yours ..." Short Fuse looked over at Ambiance as she told her story of how she got her keyblade. "Thats strange I also got my keyblade recently. It was when my town was being destroied by the heartless. I tried eveything I could to fight them but it didn't do any good. When i had just about given up all hope it just came to me, I don't know how or why but it did and because of it we where able to save some of the town and most of the people except-" He paused for a moment. "Never mind. Anyway thats basicly what happened Before I met you two." Short had some saddness in his face as he finished.
Axel went to the Ice Cream shop to get a Sea Salt Ice-cream, when He spotted Lux. "Hey, I get two for one!" He looked as if he was about to laugh, but didn't.
Buster flinched as the keyblade was summoned. He still wasn't used to things materializing out of thin air. Without touching the blade, for fear of it disappearing, he looked at the designs and craftwork of the weapon. "How strange..." He said as he inspected it closer. "If I didn't know any better, I could almost swear this was a...key?" Sighing, he stepped back. "Well, that didn't tell us much, but it certainly is an interesting work of art. I'm sure whoever made it must be proud it's in good hands. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reappearing on the steps of the old port, Axcin glanced around. The town was in ruins, and most of the heartless had cleared out already. He summoned his synthesizer and cast a spell to show him the location of everything nearby. Only a few heartless showed up, but he also discovered two nobodies in the nearby ice cream shop. Powerful nobodies, at that. 'How odd, I thought everypony was supposed to have cleared out by now...' he thought. After dispelling his synthesizer, he wandered towards the shop. Entering the shop, he saw Axel and Luxilq eating ice cream. He nearly facehoofed at the sight. "He got you eating ice cream now, Luxilq?" He said as he wandered over to the two. "I never had a taste for the stuff. Salt in ice cream? Disgusting." He walked past the two and headed up to the bar, looking through the different flavors that were once sold here. "These ponies had terrible taste in treats! Not a single vanill- oh, never mind, here it is!" He magically lifted a white cone out of the smashed dispenser and walked back to the two. "May as well treat myself while I'm here, eh?"
Buster's Gummi Ship shudders and lerches in the throws of an impact. The heavy-duty armour of the ship took the majority of the brunt. The cockpit was now bathed in red lights while computer readouts complained about tbe damage. The Guard Dragon sweeps past the view screen, its purple wing just missing the ship as the Heartless reared up and charged head first into the ship, jaw wide open to swallow the Smuggler and the Keybarers whole. A new figure appears, also dressed in the black coat, choosing to keep the face hidden under the cavernous hood. "Axel, you are, if nothing, a creature of habit. I'd say you'll grow fat but... you know.." She meanders playfully towards the nobodies like she's attempting to be casual but comming of as drunk. "So, Axel..." she said with something obviously hanging over head. "Can you help me with this ball I have to do? Nubyxn want me looking around all these galas and balls for the violin and I'm bored of going on my own. Would you come?"
"No, no no no!" Buster screamed as the hazard lights flashed on and the ship began shutting down non-necissary functions. He pushed a button and began messing with the dashboard. More lights flashed on, followed by a string of violent swearing on Buster's side. "Well, we are officially out of comission!" He said, giving his dashboard another pound. "Somepony will certainly pay for this..."
Short almost passed out again. "We're doomed arn't we." He said in a terrified voice closing his eyes and preparing for the worst.
Ambiance leapt into action as soon as the attack started. Tapping into her limited nautical knowledge, she shouted, "Avast! Man the port side guns! Fire when ready! Shiver their timbers, the scurvy Kobolds! Attack its broadside-" Her nonesense was suddenly interrupted by a violent lurching to one side, knocking her off balance and nearly throwing her into Short Fuse. She struggled to return to her hooves as she spoke to Short. "My apologies, Sir Short Fuse." "Buster! Is there nothing we can do?" ----- Lux let his cone fall where he stood. It wasn't like he had to worry about cleaning up. "What will you have us do?"
The mare in the coat sighs: "The usual! We gatecrash and check all the instruments. Like always! Nubyxn keeps finding so many leads, I wonder if she's just keeping us busy to save face..." The mare underneath the billowing material sags, head drooping and shoulders sloped for another good exultation of exasperation. Then she perks straight back up as through elastic in her spine snapped back. "If your all coming, this ought to be faster than before right? We should be in and out before you know it, right? Plus, we need to get out of here. The heartless'll clean up any minute." The Dragon Armour's mouth catches and bites hard on the tough shell of Buster's ship. The view screen cracks, computers and readouts spew endless warnings and a few sparks are spat from a few of the machine's compartments. The armour of the ship does not break. Sure, it's buckled and crushed with a few holes but against the heartless' bite, it was able to withstand the attack. The ship is still airborne as the Dragon Armour tosses the gummi ship to the side, just as before. Engines are still functional but navigation systems are currently writing "Hello World" over and over to at least three screens. The ship careers to the side as a stone with wings. The town of Tundra Peeks below rushes up to meet the ponies inside the ship, heartless and all. The ships engines propel the beaten craft down towards the rooftops. It smashes straight into an attic and is now stuck between the supports and the roof tiles. The smoke trails of the ship did not go unnoticed. The Nobodies didn't see. Instead, the speeding pony causing quite a racket as he pounds towards the crash site in his metal plating is summoning his weapons. The Dragon Armour made little effort to land softly. Straddling several now flattened roofs, it waits and watches the stricken ship for survivors just as the sun begins to set prematurely.
(Hello World? Aha! Programming reference! I lol'd, Tyro) Buster unleashed a string of curses (many of which involved Princess Luna, the moon, and a few private parts) before he attempted opening one of the doors. By some stroke of luck, the mechanism hadn't been damaged and the door slid open with ease. Buster stepped out of his trashed gummi ship and jumped down to the floor. They seemed to have smashed into somepony's home and was now wedged in their roof. Well, crap! Buster withdrew his gunblade cautiously. "All right," he said with conviction. "I can see that heartless from here, and it's still in one piece. I don't care what y'all think, I'm up for some revenge!"
Ambiance righted herself and checked her armor. She was disappointed to find that her formerly shining, smooth armor was now dented and scratched (as well as the fact that it still had one or two bolts lodged in between some of the plates). Take note, Ambiance. Do not stand while the vessel is in pitched combat, lest ye be pitched with it… Upon righting herself, she checked the rest of the crew and snickered at Buster. He swears like Grim Jaw… If he is well enough to curse the heavens, then he is well enough to fight. She then looked for Short Fuse for a short while. "All right, I can see that heartless from here, and it's still in one piece. I don't care what y'all think, I'm up for some revenge!" She looked up and back toward Buster. He and Grim Jaw would’ve gotten along… She nodded. ”Aye. I could also do with a little vengeance.” Heart’s Desire appeared in her mouth immediately after the last syllable was spoken. ”I’ve fought mudcrabs more fearsome than this wretch.” ----- Luxilq sighed. "For once, I agree with Axel. Let's make haste and find these instruments."
