2 hours later: Robin had called back the group of Knights and warriors, now officially called the golden order. He then proceeded to guide them up multiple stairs to a dimmed room with vats of coloured energy and a hooded pony tending to them. "Guys I would like to introduce you to Gazer the court wizard. He has prepared these that's filled with your elements heated liquid energy. Now what he is going to do is brand your front left hoof with this energy. Which in turned will boost your magical connection with the chosen element. Which will allow pegasi and earth ponies the ability to control magic but only magic related to that element". He nodded to gazer as he removed the first lid off the first vat. Containing orange energy. Robin then stuck out his left hoof as Gazer grabbed a brand with flame rune on the end dipping it in and placing the burning brand of energy onto the unicorns skin. The pain lasted for 3 seconds while the brand was pressed but it was worth it. "okay now its your turn. Frozen your by the Vat with the White energy and ice rune brand; Loresto your by the Vat with the dark pink energy and wind rune brand; Arrows, Yellowy energy vat with balancing scale brand. Oh, and finally thunder your by the golden energy vat with the sun rune brand".
(It's Loresto in this one ^^ lol but i'll still take the dark pink energy =O sounds so legit!) Loresto walked over to his brand and awaited Gazer. Gazer trotted over to Loresto and nodded his head. Loresto held out his hoof and allowed the court wizard to brand his hoof. "Hphm....just alittle prick" Loresto chuckled to himself as the brand was finished. "So whats this all mean now Leader guy? I can control wind or something?" Loresto snickered at Robin.
Thunder walked over to the sun rune brand and waited for Gazer. Gazer walked over to Thunder and gave a nod. Thunder held out his hoof and let Gazer to brand it. "Yes what does this mean?" Thunder asked as well
After branding Frozen, Robin answered the questions. "Yes this does mean you can control the elements most suited towards your inner power. So what this means is that the enemies of Haven will have less of a chance of taking over and oppressing the ponies of the empire".
The container slightly stung Arrows' hand. Afterward, the Balancing Scales Rune appeared on his forehoof. "Justice, huh? Sounds like me." Arrows said, examining the rune.
Frozen laughed. She stomped on the ground, and ice spikes shot up. She giggled. "That is soo cool!" (This is my very young character. Just FYI. XD)
"Seems everyones ready. I have just got news of an army approaching from the east. I guess the best place to learn is on the field".
Loresto picked up his great sword and swung it on his large shoulders. "A battle huh, about time some action came my way!" Loresto walked over to the door and pushed it open waiting for the others. "You all coming or not? I love to battle, but taking on a whole army alone, might as well be throwing my life away."
Jay ran desperately towards the King's throne room, having received the notification just moments ago. His weapon clinging at every step he made. He finally arrived at the throne room and said "Your Majesty! So sorry for arriving late! I live at the outskirts of town so it's a long way to the castle." he looked around "Say, where is everypony?"
Loresto followed beside Robin as he lead them toward the battlefield. "So Robin, any side-effects of this whole 'element' thing we need to know about? I mean sure I feel lighter and more energetic then usually, and my wings are just itching to cut loose and fly, but I don't really see that as a 'bad' thing." Loresto looked at Robin curious but hiding emotion.
While Jay was led to get branded with the dark blue vat with teardrop rune brand. The rest headed down through the multiple flights of stairs and out the door. "There is only one known side effect the beta led apon my cousin and his Team. The previous holders f the elements. The effect has been named the Sauros effect. What happens is that the powers overwhelm them and they become obsessed with power and turn evil. I have a feeling that's whose army were facing. Although legends state of the first elite protectors being able to keep a strong and willed mind during the overwhelming process and doing the opposite and became almost god-like this is known as the angelical effect".
Jay was taken to be branded with the rune; at the same time he was 'ooh'ing and 'aah'ing at the sights. When he got there, they showed him the brand "I really have to do this? Looks painful." Gazer just nodded "Ah well, let it have it" and he raised his hoof. The brand made a slight hissing sound and Jay flinched a bit. When it was over, Jay looked at the droplet-shape mark in his hoof. "Well, thank you for this. now i have to catch up with the other guys." and he bolted out of the room, wanting to catch the rest of the team; he eventually did arrive in time to them.
Jay arrived at the group with his wings giving him a little boost. Panting slightly, he noticed the blue unicorn address him "Hi! Name's Jay. Woo, that's a good workout."
