I know Croatian too, and Serbian, Slovenian, Bosnian etc. , and English, a bit of German, Latin and Japanese.
@both you above... PFF.. just ****ing unfair :/ I only know ONE FREAKING language except for that english.. while you above could speak to the whole effing world. :/ Ugh, I only speak Icelandic and ****ing English. >.< I hate how everyone knows all those languages when I can only understand my own language!! it's so boring¨!!!!!
Hey, Peugasus! Relax! You seem very fluent in English (which makes you better than half the population of the USA), and you know Icelandic - which means you know one more language than me. It's hard for me to learn languages, I'm not real sure why. I'm very interested in them, but I have trouble remembering translations. And I guess my pronunciation is terrible. My Polish friends find my Polish is hilarious.
Thanks man. ^^ You are awesome! and yes, half of the population of USA is worse then me indeed. I've had so many people congratulate me for my english. :3
Thanks! And I didn't realize you were non-English until this thread. (I usually don't look at a person's location, 'cause so many like to put silly things, like Cloudsdale or Las Pagasus.)
Well, my range of languages includes German, English, a little bit of French, almost two years of Spanish lessons, some HTML and XML (even if it`s a version exclusively for TrackMania game series, afaik). Besides, I try to learn as much languages as possible. For example I know a few Japanese words, some Russian, even fewer Italian and so on. But the toughest language around is the language of math, if you know what I mean ;-) Nice thread idea! Greetings
I'm fluent in English. I know a little Spanish, and a teeny bit of Japanese. Next I'm going to try mu hand at some German.
English and I can understand Spanish, but I'm awful at speaking it. The countries that I can go to and know how to ask for a restroom are very limited.
I'm fluent in Romanian (my native tongue) and English. I also study German at school, but I kinda suck at it.
I am fluent in English , I can say a few things in Japanese and I can also say a few things in Spanish.
Oh my, I actually spotted a fellow Finn here, Project Xero! I speak Finnish as my mother tongue, English, German, Swedish and just a bit of Italian. Finland's schools always have Swedish as mandatory, because it's a bilingual country - at least tries to be. We were under the control of Sweden for about 650 years until 1808 or 1809. Had to check that, heh. Only about 5% of the population speaks Swedish as their first language. A large part of us "regular" Finnish people wouldn't see the removal of Swedish as such a big deal - eventually it's not of much use to me, but I don't hate it anyway. I speak English most fluently out of foreign languages and German quite well too, but by comparison it's far from my skills in English. Heck, how could I say "I have a truckload of gorgeous MLP plushies and prints inside my precious mane 6 covered chests hidden in the hollow trees of the forest next to my house"? Too bad I don't. I picked a few courses of Italian in our high school because I thought it's sometimes kind of epic and beautiful - at least in Rhapsody's songs. Oh what the heck, the mafia... Oh my, this post turned out oddly long. Prepare for extreme epicness but also "slight" amusement. I am primarily English, but am fluent in Afrikaans, and can therefore understand written German, and there are one or two European Languages I can't remember the names of that I can then speak fluently I also did Zulu for 3 years... still can't speak a single word of it though, it all just sounds like choking to me... Oh, I am also fluent in dog and motor enthusiast.
It is also worth mentioning our countries "English" is already a mixture of other languages, like for example, if i were to say "That braai was really lekker eh? But I'm moor-se dors now." None of you souties wouldn't have cooking clue what I'm saying, but any one here would think I'm speaking flawless English ^^
My first language is English, and I'm pretty good with German, much better at understanding it when listening that speaking it though. I also know some French and a tiny bit of Spanish.
My main language is English, however, I've been taking lessons in Japanese as well. I'm expecting to get the Rosetta Stone Japanese package for my birthday, 2 months left to go!
