Just found out from my mom that our hometown is going to be losing a part of its history: the Dearborn Press and Guide's going to be ceasing publication by the end of the month due to operating costs and changes in business models. (1918 - 2025) Never read it much as a kid (I was more focused on the Detroit News' comics and sports section most days), but I know my parents did. And three of my siblings used to deliver it on paper routes, so our family had a minor share in that sort of thing too. It's going to be kind of weird knowing that it's done.
I hope they never stop publishing physical Books and Manga. Despite what they say the internet is not forever.
Agreed. I'll take any break away from my screen that I can get. And to me, there's nothing that quite matches the feeling of holding an actual physical book in my hands.
