So it's like the Star Wars sequels? Where you take the main protagonist from the previous arc and totally massacre their character?
Kind of. I mean she seals up all magic cause the thinks it's the only way for ponies to get along? All the lessons she went through and she couldn't have found another way, one that wouldn't through their world's balance completely out of whack.
Yeah, sounds like cheap plot device. Also, where are the Windigos? You know the creatures that show up when the earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasus don't get along? That showed up twice during Twilight's time... Did they commit genocide? Kinda dark for ponies...
While I haven't actually seen any of the episodes, comics, etc. pertaining to G5, I do read up on stuff concerning it to keep myself up to date. I can safely say that Twilight's not an antagonist or a villain in any way, shape or form that we are aware of.
Yeah, retconing all of G4 for an already repeated plot device may have soured it for some people. I'm on the "none of this makes any sense" side of things.
Of course people will say the show's not made for you. Never got that reply, doesn't mean I can't find it flawed when judge it by it's own content or what it's supposed to be connected to.
Sounds like the plot to Sounds of Silence but with magic instead of speech. As stated, Twilight would never do that. And yeah, I think children's shows should live up to a certain standard because of the target demographic. Kids take a lot of the lessons in these shows seriously which is why their messages should be handled carefully. That's the main reason why Yakkity Sax is the only MLP episode that I legit hated. The "lesson" seemed to go against some of the values that I believe kids need to learn.
Work had me preoccupied, we went through a round of layoffs. I survived but of course everything will be uncomfortable and tense for awhile... *sigh*
You're welcome. I aim to please. >^_^< Hope the mood and situation improves over there. Along similar lines, my dad's contract with the Michigan-based company he was working for ended at the end of 2022, so now he's looking for another job that'll let him work remotely.
I know the feeling. I started a new job last week because the company I was working for ended up closing down. We had 6 people on staff and half were let go back in (I think) October. As soon as it was confirmed that the rest of us weren't getting the raise we were promised, I knew it was a matter of time before we shut down completely. But things are better now. Hope everything gets better on your end too, bro.
I don't get why more jobs don't allow you to work remotely. I mean as long as you're getting your work done in reasonable time and it's the kind of job that can be done from home it just make sense.
Yeah, I hear ya. Back in 2018 when he first took the job, he needed to go up to Michigan and spend some time there first before they would let him work from here. It's what resulted in me taking care of seven cats on my own for four months.
I admire anyone who is motivated enough to be able to work from home. I'd be too tempted to be goofing off most of the day. Also... "WTF is a traffic light!?"
I'd like to finish it along with my Zelda comic as well as continue with Starring...You. Unfortunately, I really just haven't had the motivation to do any comics since 2019.
