Well, if I don't expect it to be there, when it does show up it will be a pleasant surprise.
Okay, I need to talk about something here before I forget about it, and I felt that it was a little too silly to bring it up in the Serious Discussion section.
I had a dream last night that looked like something out of some sort of odd fanfic. I saw this weird lady... thinking about it now, she kind of looked like what would happen if Magica De Spell (the 1987 iteration, not the more modern one) had been rendered as an EG-style human. I followed her into the backyard of someone's house, and saw her chewing out Mikey Blumberg from "Recess" for some reason or another. After that she let me into the house and we went downstairs, and it turned out to be this multi-level public library she was leading me to, and it was acting as her base of operations. There was this active air of malevolence, and those present seemed on edge.
Apparently "Magica" was a little too trusting, since one of the computers in the library was open to her Twitter account. One of her posts had her talk about her pet plant "Bluesy" swallowing Ambush (see: avatar, bottom-right) whole, which I knew was a farce since he was borderline unstoppable without someone exploiting his weaknesses.
The Dazzlings were part of her entourage (or at least Aria and Sonata were; I don't remember seeing Adagio). I got to help them out with the whole "singing to incite conflict" thing around the library with that tune they were using from RR's opening, though for some reason the resulting smoke was red instead of green. Because only in my dreams do I have a singing voice that spans more than one octave (trust me, I've checked) and was as light as theirs.
I woke up from the dream not long after, which I felt was rather disappointing. 4:30a.m., tried to go back to sleep and get back in the dream, but the best I could do was end up on an indoor basketball court chewing the fat with someone. Oh, well; least I got some material for a future story.
That's a dream... A wacky dream.
You sang with the Dazzlings, but didn't see Adagio? Maybe you were playing her part or something?
Also, Petra does not care about puny mortals, there is nothing Petra cannot pull!
The evil plot thickens~
Better guess than anything I could've come up with...
And some of those horses are tough.
PORK CHOP SANDWITCHES !
I had a pork chop last night, but it was not in sandwich form.
That's one helluva horse.
Any one watch Masters of the Universe?
Nope. Beyond a specific song and a specific meme, He-Man's not my thing.
I watched the first 5 episodes of MotU Revelation. To me, it kinda felt like a sub-par fanfic. Has some cool animation and some good fights but just feels like it's missing a lot of the spirit of the original series. Also, they shoe-horned in a lot of damns and hells so that we know that this is an "adult" cartoon and I'm not crazy about the direction they chose to take Teela... my favorite MotU character. Also, Sarah Michelle Gellar wouldn't have been my first choice to voice her.
I hadn't heard of the new one. And checking reviews... Wow, everyone except the paid reviewers think it's horrible.
When the "Professional" reviewers give it 97% and the general audience gives it 35%, that means a lot of someones made bank to lie their arses off in their reviews.
And now watching the reviews. Ah, the old bait and switch. This will not be good for merchandising. And I'm not going to watch any of it, hate watching isn't my thing. So I'll express my opinion by ignoring it from this point.
Yeah, can't say that I'll be watching it any further. Sad because I had hoped that it wouldn't just be another reboot/sequel made to appeal to a new generation while trying to make original fans feel like they have to like it because of nostalgia.
And now you shall enjoy more PORK!
So glad I'm not the only one to find that Voice choice wrong. Both you and Geekysparkles of Clownfish agreeing has me in good company.
I prefer ham, honestly.
People are review-bombing the new He-Man because Teela is the main character and *puts on fedora* WoKe PC CuLtUrE iS oUt Of HaNd!!!
Because, y'know, in the original series He-Man did everything alone and none of the other characters were ever important ever.
Basically, I'm saying the series is good and the bad reviews are from crybaby fanboys who are mad a series from the '80s has matured a bit.
This has no real connection to anything. I just thought it was amusing.
