    We need to maintain functionality, though.

    How about swapping the tines with aggregated diamond tubes, then putting the plasma assembly in a hollow handle? It wouldn't pack the punch of a cannon, but a quad-barreled plasma rifle is nothing to sneeze at.

    While we're at it, we can swap the shotgun for an ion grenade launcher, perfect for dealing with machines and power armor.
