Have you even so much as Googled Islam? Because that's not how it works. Not all Muslims are ISIS. In fact, sexism and the odd aversion to pigs aside, they're actually a pretty pacifistic bunch. ISIS is the vocal minority, who use Islam as a shield for their horrible acts. So no, they're NOT really Muslims. They're a bunch of genocidal maniacs pretending to be Muslims. We'll talk more when you decide to come join us in the 21st century.

ok, that's basically the no true scotsman fallacy. they do believe in at least parts of the doctrine, so they are muslims. they don't really understand certain teachings, like the ones about peace, but they're still muslims
Alright, I guess I'm not explaining why I feel the way I do about Islam. A big part of the Muslim religion is reverence for the prophet Muhammad. Muhammad, however, was an unambiguously evil man who seized power by force. He was, by multiple accounts, a pedophile and a murderer. He ordered or approved untold numbers of killings... many of the victims young boys barely into puberty. Multiple hadiths tell of necrophilia, sexual slavery, and torture. This man, who by any other standard would be considered a monster, is considered by Muslims to be ideal and above reproach. What Muhammad did... who he really was... is something that is well known to almost all Muslims. They know his crimes and perversions, and he is still revered or even emulated. As far as I'm concerned, modern Islam is just as bad as Neo-Nazism, if not worse.
how do you know they all know about all of that? they likely get all their interpretations at mosques.
If you don't understand what your religion is or what it means, why would you claim it? But you're right, I misspoke earlier. I was under the impression that reading the Quran was something that Muslims were required to do, but now I'm reading that it is not. I wonder then, how many Muslims would keep their faith if they really understood it? And why are the Imams, who have read and understand the Quran, still preaching the words and ways of an evil man? Okay, fine, I hate doing this, but I'll admit I was wrong. Not all Muslims are evil. But the ones who truly understand the religion and its history, and continue to convert others through threat or deceit? They are evil.
because they trust the ones who preach in the mosques. they see them as the authorities on the subject, the ones who have read and truly understand the holy book. they're supposed to tell them the truth. but not all of the christian saints/prophets were any better. sacrificing their children to god, slaughtering whole cities because of a few sinners. prophets in general tended not to be nice people. Jesus seemed like a pretty damn cool guy, though
