Dimensional travel is easy, but interdimensional communication is tough. Not even Armiista has that technology.
I do not use technology. I use my magic. being an alicorn who's designed to act as an omniscient watcher of worlds has it's perks
Ah. Magic. That's how I do it, too. It always pisses Alice off when I can do something her tech can't.
XD See this is what I mean by different specialties. Interdimensional comms is a piece of cake. I got people scattered across dimensions and there's hardly ever a drop in communications. Occasionally the Viod station, the central relay, gets attacked but that's mostly Daleks or Cybermen. They aren't a threat.
*slopes effortlessly through the multiverse to secure a tribble, a particularly fine bath robe, and a jug of mudder's milk, then flops onto a sofa to watch Alice and co. battle the Karapsi horde* I'd like to communicate my desire to see a little less conversation, a little more action please. A little more bite and a little less bark, if you will.
Hey, Alice, did you send the scans of the interdimensional communicator to Triss? "I did. She studied the tech and promised to deliver a prototype within the week. She expects mass-production by next month."
.... that's not a good idea.... simply scanning something of mine. Without intimate knowledge of the device itself you'll find several traps and pitfall. Not only that but what about the software? You scans may reveal the hardware, but how will you get a hold of the software. I admit the station is easy enough to find, the Daleks and Cybermen attack it all the time, but it's not like simply because it normally deals with weak opponents that it's isn't prepared for bigger. There's also the fact that not all the components are technological. Part of the reason it works is because the crew, you don't know what crew members are essential and which aren't. Seriously saying you scanned something and therefore can simply reproduce it is the lamest and weakest thing you can do. I've been on your ship, I've had multiple chance to scan it, you keep bragging about how powerful it is. What's to stop me from throwing a few of my mirco-machines into a sun and making a million of them? I don't do it cause it's poor role playing. I'm not saying I'm a great role player, but I take time with my tech I don't instantly say I have it. First I started with naninite, then after a few years I developed the next scale smaller, few more years smaller still. It's been nine years and I still don't have the next scale down in mas production. Just enough to make the magic proof obsidian glass of the glass house. I have never gone oh five minutes ago I could do this, but now I can do this cause it's cooler. Edit: Looked it up I started working on the station about five or six years ago. Not fully operative till I joined here. That's how the voice orb here connect to the main body. It started as a knock off of DS9 with doors in it that lead to other dimensions. From there, when the topic that I introduced the station in died, I started working on re-purposing it.
