Maybe so, but webcomics have the advantage of not having to keep a PG rating. Besides, some of them have been going on for years. My two favorites, Questionable Content and Something Positive, have been around for over a decade.
Several of mine have ended or have very long hiatus, and a few just stopped. I miss Elf Only in and Gaming Guardians.
I recently started Girls With Slingshots after hearing about it for a couple years, only to learn that it ended in December. Still, it's got a pretty big archive, so I've got maybe another week of that.
You know what when Trump started I would have been willing to deal with him. He wasn't my favorite, but I'd settle. But as things have gone on.... he's ultimately shown he's just more of the same thing. Carson and Cruz are really different.

Well, considering that they are entering a foreign country with the intent to commit a crime, the U.S. government technically has the authority to treat them as criminals (which, let's face it, they are), and punish them appropriately. The current "slap on the wrist and boot to the ass" approach clearly isn't working.
