Ooh, so close, yet so far. Kind of hard for me to tell how long it's been between posts when I'm logged in from home. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the timestamps on 'em are rather wonky even with my time zone set correctly.
I saw an ad on TV last night for the WWE doing their shows in "The Thunderdome"... Does the crowd chant "Two men enter, one man leaves!" Actually, that might be interesting to watch...
I tried watching pro wrestling for a few years when I was in college. Never fully understood the appeal, so eventually I just gave up on it.
I started watching in the heat of the Monday night wars. I wasn't allowed to watch WWF at first but I would find ways to sneak it in while I was watching WCW. Once I was allowed to, I followed the WWF/WWE until 2004 before I started losing interest.
It was during the WWF Attitude Era. There was a lot of edgy stuff they were doing that WCW wasn't. I made a deal with my mom when I was in 6th grade that if I kept my room clean for a month, she'd let me watch WWF. To this day, that's a feat I've never been able to replicate.
