I really must admit that I quite dislike Pinkie Pie. Reason 1: Becasue of her roles in fics like "Cupcakes" and even though I love "Equestria Fallout" Pinkie Pie as an addict is not good Reason 2: How the heck can someone be that happy 24/7? Reason 3: All the bouncing she does annoys me
I don't hold grudges towards anyone, but, cause you ask about least fav. CHARACTER, I'l say Zecora, she annoys me with her thing with Rhymes. (even worst on non english dubs cause the lines are too force mated) and is too unrelated to the show. (I know she's a remain of Lauren's original idea for the show)
Rainbow Dash, hands down. She's too annoying. And the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Worst excuse for filler episodes if I ever saw one.
The thing is, fan fics are exactly that, FAN fics. As part of the show, the actual show which this is all based on, Pinkie Pie is neither a murderer nor a psychopath. And to be honest, how can ponies talk? I reckon the third point is valid, but surely other elements of the show must annoy you as well. Is it the repetitiveness of the bouncing, I'm intrigued. Or do you just have an extreme phobia of mild heights?
3rd: Applejack. She just hasn't really done anything that makes me like her. Yet. Plus, the southern drawl kinda reminds me of Miley Cyrus, so... 2nd: All three of the CMC. They're just annoying, in my opinion. 1st: Probably Snips and Snails. 'Nuff said.
My least favourite is Rainbow Dash, I just can't stand her; she's so arrogant and thinks really highly of herself (a horrible character trait IMO).
I take back my post on Big Mac. He's not so bad... Edit; Why so quiet? Am I.... A thread murderer? :ahh: I DIDN'T MEAN TO!! PLEASE, SPARE ME!
I honestly don't dislike ANY of the characters, though quite a few of them have individual traits that are not particularly endearing. It's the simple fact that there IS so much depth and variety of character to be experienced that makes the show so outright awesome. They all have a place and for some it's to create tension, and for others, it's to resolve it. If Diamond Tiara is offensively uppity, well, frankly, Rarity can grind on a nerve in nearly the same way, too, when she gets too far into the "must not have my perfection spoiled" riff. Pinky can be intensely aggravating at times, but redeems herself often by showing some smarts behind the over-the-top fun-loving personality. Rainbow Dash is very nearly a one-dimensional showoff, but her loyalty to her friends saves her. Even Princess Celestia has her quirks. She comes across as TOO wise and all knowing, sometimes, yet doesn't lift a hoof to intervene when a young Pegasus pony is falling to her death. And then she shows a sense of humor on several occasions. I don't dislike any of them. They all play their part and they're all well written into their stories. The stories would be diminished if those personalities were either written out or written to be more generally agreeable. It takes a little ugliness to remind you about beauty.
My least favorites: Derpy Hooves: Granted, I don't know much about her and what I have seen has been somewhat funny and she is fun to look for; she is mostly a background character that is overly parodied online. The videos I have seen feature annoying music that quite possibly makes her out to be "Derpier" than I feel she actually would be... ((ie. the lyrics "She's Blondieblondieblonde... " )) The water dragon: His personality is a bit over-exaggerated. If he's so worried about his moustache, it'll just grow back. Until then, he can shave. That way he'd still look fabulous and wouldn't have to worry about his moustache being uneven. Snips and Snails: ... Silver Spoon/ Diamond Tiara: Snudy and judgemental Pinkie Pie's folks: Rock farm. Nuff said... Okay... Seriously, HOW DO YOU MAKE A LIVING ON THIS?! I, for one would like to know...! -shakes head in confusion- Diamond Dogs: Look aweful, but then again they're supposed to I like the mane six, though Rarity does annoy me when she goes off the deep end and Pinkie Pie's singing is a bit annoying
I don't really "get" the Trixie-love. I like her character design, and I appreciate that, as a traveling showpony, her job is to show off, but what annoys me about her is the fact that she ISN'T that good a mage. Note how every other pony, when challenging her, displays genuine ability. Rather than displaying an even better ability, Trixie just ruins their attempts. It's the equivalent to some douche kicking over sandcastles made by other ponies on the beach, rather than making a nice sandcastle of their own. Weirdly, I don't mind Gilda. She's a total jerk, granted, but I can see some character depth there; her unpleasant nature seems to have ensured that she has one friend left, and, rather than focusing on what could have scared everyone else away, she devotes all her time to clinging to that friend for dear life. Which, ultimately, doesn't work. Anyway, other characters I'm not keen on: Applejack. Actually, the whole Apple family, except maybe Granny Smith. I just find them fairly dull in general; I don't dislike them, because they don't make me feel any emotion towards them in particular. They're just.... there. Twilight Sparkle. While I'm predominantly a believer in science, I don't get outraged at people having the nerve to have views that can't be proven; it's their business, and, as long as they're not using it as an excuse to act like jerks, I don't get how getting angry at them for it is supposed to be helpful. As such, Feeling Pinkie Keen annoyed me as an episode because, by the end, Twilight didn't seem bothered about the scientific research part of her views; she just wanted to be right, and couldn't accept that she might not be proven right. Which seems odd, considering that arrogance is a trait generally disliked by the fandom. Also, she lacks common sense; she's known Celestia for years, and Celestia has always shown herself to be a benevolent monarch/god thingy. She has banished ONE pony to the moon (that we're aware of) in her lifetime, and that was to stop Equestria from being plunged into eternal night, AND it was hardly an easy decision, given that it was her sister. And yet, Twilight seems to think that Celestia is some merciless monster who will send her back to Magic Kindergarten for being slightly tardy, or banish someone, or put them in a dungeon, or banish someone then put them in a dungeon in the location they're banished to. And she's meant to be the clever one of the mane cast. Fluttershy's a weird one in that I like her in the show, but I'd get extremely annoyed by her in real life (I hate it when people mumble quietly so you can barely hear them, and over-sensitive types grate on me a bit). Cheerilee seems like kind of a useless teacher, given that Diamond Tiara makes a nasty comment towards Apple Bloom right in front of her, and she doesn't even tell her off. Not much of an anti-bullying policy going on at that school. Spike barely registers on my radar half the time. He has the occasional moment, but the only time I notice him in general is when he's being annoying.
Everypony is equal imho. As for Gilda, she's awesome. Not as great as the mane 6 but one good character. Trixie, eh... Everyone else. Eh...
I hate; 1)Gilda -I had a friend like her once upon a time and I ditched that friend once I realized was a douche they were. Gilda is almost exactly like that ex-friend. I can't stand how aggressive, mean, brutish and a bully she is. PLUS SHE MADE FLUTTERSHY CRY! I may not like wimpy characters but I hate those who prey on the weak more. 2)Rarity -I occasionally like her, but most of the time I want to punch her in the face. She's over dramatic and her sense of style is quite questionable to me. I never did forgive her for entering herself in the flying competition with Rainbow Dash and then dressing like a drag queen and nearly falling to her death. Her self-involved personality and "a lady never..." line makes me hate her as a fellow female. 3)The Great and Powerful Trixie -She never learned her lesson!
*nods in agreement* Pinkie Pie use to be my favorite until she turned her volume and annoying levels up full blast. When she was just an odd ball and happy in her own little world I was happy because I could relate. But when she started becoming and obsessive, obnoxious, attention seeker in this season; I know longer care for her much.
yeah, id have to agree with you on the pinkie pie thing, id say shes my least favourite of the mane 6. shes shown some promise in the last few episodes, but before i disliked her cuz she was just sorta the same thing over and over again. she seemed like a character trying way too hard to be comic relief.
