"Did you gut 'em?" Applejack asked, with a clear expression of anger. "No. He saved my life many times. His mother... Fluttershy..." Narrowleaf replied, no longer sobbing.
"And that's really it." finished Brisk. She stared at the grave. "I would have really disappointed you, Mom." grinned Brisk. Shaking her head, she walked away from the grave marked "Rarity: Element of Generosity."
"MOM I'M GOING TO SWEET APPLE ACRES!" Bolt said Fluttershy ran out "No! Applejack loved him! What if she kills you?!?! Your father's already gone, I can't lose you too!!!" "Then come with me. You know I won't let her kill me anyways...but if she tries, I'm gonna hold back." Bolt said. "Okay...let's go..." The two walked to the farm, uncertain of what was to come next. Bolt hoped Narrowleaf hadn't already told her...
"Ma... Where is everypony?" Narrowleaf asked. "Dunno. I woke up... and poof." Applejack responded with a despressed tone. "Gone..." He replied softly.
Bolt knocked on the door of Sweet Apple Acres. He pre-lit his mane. He wanted to trust Applejack, but he hadn't seen her in so long... "Applejack? It's me! Fluttershy's kid!" Bolt yelled. All he could do was wait.
"Speak of the devil..." Narrowleaf said, rolling his eyes. He opened the door, "Bolt, meet my mother, Applejack." He paused. "Mom, this is Miss Fluttershy's son, Bolt."
Bolt was scared. He offered his hoof to Applejack. "I-I have something to get off my chest ma'am..." He said, his voice shaky. "Hello Applejack! Hello Narrowleaf!" Fluttershy chimed in
"Bolt... I-" Narrowleaf began. "You... little... bastard... You think ya'll can kill my husband, then come back with my son, and expect me to accept your apology?!!" Applejack kissed him on the forehead. "Thank you for helping my son."
"Applejack, I'm sorry for killing your husband. It haunts me every waking moment of my life. I'm not expecting you to forgive me. I deserve to live with demons in my head. I don't deserve to live at all, actually. And if you see it fit that I die...well that's all you. But I needed to tell you that. And I feel better now that I did." Bolt said, his head hung.
"Well... The past can't be changed. But my baby... He's with us, in the present." Applejack lifted Bolt's chin. "I forgive you." She smiled. As did Narrowleaf.
Bolt threw his hooves around Applejack. "I can finally live in peace now...the clouds in my head are receding I'm...me again. The boy that Fluttershy raised is back!" Bolt yelled "Oh, sorry, that was loud, wasn't it..." He whispered, smiling.
Bolt turned to Brisk. He put his hoof very softly on her shoulder, trying not to be intrusive. "What's up? You look really sad...did something happen between you two?" He asked.
"Applejack forgave me for what happened to her husband, and I'm myself again. I feel so bad for Discord...maybe I should have let him live..." Bolt told Brisk
Narrowleaf finally put two and two together. "I... Brisk I had no... I'm sorry..." He knew what it was like, losing a parent.
