As if she could read his mind, she continued. "We weren't the norm. Children from unicorns and changlings aren't exactly normal."
"Oh... Well I have no clue about that sort of thing." He replied. "May I ask what the differences are?"
"Changlings are just like other ponies, but they need love to live. When Flitter and I were born, something.. broke, or.. I don't know. But we came to be, and weren't expected to live the first month. We were like Siamese Twins, but with one body. I mean, how do you deal with that? I think that's when Rarity left us."
Bolt woke up, noticing there was no water or spiders in the room. "Great...I slept on the ceiling of the palace. That's gonna feel great really soon." He said, going back inside. He entered the room quietly. He came to a realization about something Flitter had said.
Flitter woke up, stretching. "Morning Bolt." she said, as he approached. "Where were you last night?" she asked. Brisk smiled. "Love you too."
"I fell asleep on the roof..." Bolt answered. "Look, I need to ask you something...its about that time Leaf killed a little pony." Bolt droned, unsure of what Flitter would think.
"When you told me to imagine that that kid was ours...uh, do you- I mean did yo- Were you trying to tell me you wanted to have kids?" Bolt blurted out, face turning pink.
Flitter stared at him for a moment, then burst into laughter. "Has that been bugging you?" she asked. "Well.. the answer is.. Maybe one day. At the time, I was just trying to get it into perspective. Do you want kids?"
