Bolt gave up. "Nice. Ignore me. Wonderful. I guess I'm just so funny now that they've seen how much I care about my mom. Jerks. They don't appreciate me. Brisk thinks I'm nothing but an idiot with firepower, and Narrowleaf thinks I'm soft on the inside. That's it. I'm running into the woods and I'm NEVER coming back...and when I come back, I'll be the aerial master." Bolt said, dashing into the woods. "I'll show them to mock me. My dad was a unicorn, and my mom is a pegasus...they're about to see the part of me NOPONY wants to see." Bolt said, tears of anger running from his eyes.
Bolt ran past Fluttershy's house. He was going to show them he was better than both of them. He wasn't done yet. He swore to Celestia he'd never do this, but she'd betrayed him too. There was nothing stopping him from reaching his true potential except...except that he needed Fluttershy's permission to do this. "Alright, back to Mom's house." He said. He wasn't taking no for an answer anyways.
View attachment 6485 Yeah, he's cool. After days of training, days of painstaking, days of blood, sweat, and tears, he'd done it. He'd broken every rule in the book in the process, and Celestia was going to be after him, but it was done. But he felt differently now...maybe he was angry before, but he didn't want to hurt his friends anymore...but he did want to apologize to Narrowleaf. Even if it was a mistake...no. He was an outcast now. His friends probably hated him now...he was better off staying in the woods. Maybe he could teach them to do this...if they wanted it. Narrowleaf needed it. He'd been picked on all his life, and now Bolt was going to help him fix it. "Alright...let's go find Narrowleaf." Bolt said, flying to Sweet Apple Acres.
Flitter was quiet. She'd let things play out, and regretted it. Regret was new to Flitter, and she sighed, and shrank back to Brisk, who was unaware of anything that had just happened.
Narrowleaf stopped. "I... Don't know the way... I'm... lost." He began to wander, looking for a way home. "I should apologize to Bolt. I have to stop being such a baby..." He looked at his reflection through a dirty puddle. "I can't give up... Flitter... Thanks."
"LEAF!!! DUDE I'M SORRY, WHEREVER YOU ARE, BUT I NEED TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING!!!" Bolt yelled from the top of Town Hall. "Well at least HE knows where I am...now for that other part."
Narrowleaf heard Bolt's screaming. "Bolt... I'm coming!" He ran around the streets, searching. "If only Flitter was here, I wouldn't be lost..." He told himself.
Brisk heard the cry, and her horn glowed, as she tried to sense who or what was making the noise. It sounded like Bolt.. but who knows these days?
"I'm getting down from here..." Bolt said. Looking around he saw his friends approaching. "I wonder what they'll think of me, now that I've sold out like this..." He thought. He had the charms of his family around his ankles, gold for Fluttershy, silver for the fact that he didn't know his father. "I'm coming down, guys!" He yelled
"Brisk! There you are!" Narrowleaf cried. He quickly trotted over and wrapped his hooves around her. "Look, Brisk. There's something I have to tell you..."
Bolt slammed onto the ground, creating a cloud of dust. "When this clears...you'll both hate me forever. But I did this for you, and if you don't accept it, I'll just let Celestia kill me when she comes..." He said.
Brisk looked around in bewilderment. "I apologize, Flitter's taken over for a while, I need to get my bearings." she said. She closed her eyes, and focused, and opened them again. "OK. There. Now, what did I miss?" she asked.
Bolt tapped Brisk on the shoulder with his new horn. "Brisk, turn around...look at me." Bolt said. "You missed me doing this." He turned to Narrowleaf "And you. I didn't say a word to anyone." He said, waiting to be judged.
Brisk turned. "You both are really serious.." she began smiling. Then she saw the horn. She didn't say a word. Her face was clear, yet both ponies could tell her mind was whirring. She was trying to figure it out, trying to reason with it.
"...Brisk. I-I... Like you. More than a friend... I love you!" Narrowleaf was trembling, awaiting a responce.
Bolt's eyes narrowed onto Leaf. He glared at him for a long time. He wasn't stable yet. If he snapped here, it would be over. Not only that, but now he had fire spells in his arsenal too. He'd told Brisk HE liked her first, and he was going to prove it until Narrowleaf jumped in. Bolt felt anger rising in him. His horn started to glow. He wasn't going to do anything, but Leaf didn't need to know that. "Well then, I guess I WON'T be giving you both the gifts I got you now...maybe later. When Narrowleaf cares that I'm different.
Brisk looked at the two ponies, utterly bewildered by both of their statements. While normally intelligent, she couldn't seem to reason with this. She blinked, and said in a choked voice, "I... I have to go." She turned, and took a shaky breath, and walked off.
