"Leaf. Brisk. I need you...she...she stole...only Brisk can follow." Bolt said. He realized a steady trail of blood from his torso. He looked down to see a knife thrown by the filly. "I'm dying Leaf. Make my legacy...make sure Star...can grow up with a family. The poison on the knife is rushing into my heart. Brisk has to get Flitter." Bolt collapsed. Star warped off, she was now more powerful than ever. "I won't let you kill my mommy!" She screamed, covering herself in white fire and racing off after the filly. "Th...that's my girl." Bolt said before slipping into a coma.
(Sorry Bolt, this time you didn't read. Brisk has disappeared. :Trollestia The filly laughed. "Your mommy killed my whole family, darling."
"And if you kill her, I won't have one either! Now...please give her back. I'm not like my daddy. I don't want to hurt you." Star begged.
"Not like your daddy, hmm?" she taunted, casually slicing Flitter's skin. "Well, your mommy is just as bad."
Narrowleaf cursed, transforming into a timberwolf. "Where the buck is Brisk..?" He asked, trying to sense her. - - Auto Merge - - Narrowleaf cursed, transforming into a timberwolf. "Where the buck is Brisk..?" He asked, trying to sense her.
There was... something. A shift, perhaps, in the wind. But, yes. There it was again. A shift in the North. Narrow immediately sensed it was Brisk.
Out of nowhere, a searing devil appeared behind the filly. It melted her flank and grew the skin back. It grabbed the filly between It's jaws. The demon was Bolt. "Honey, you have to listen. Daddy is gonna be back. He will. He can beat the death pony. But you have to save Mommy. Daddy won't come back otherwise." It spoke without use of It's mouth. "Daddy, don't kill her! She doesn't deserve it! She just wants a family, just like you did! You took all of her friends and mommy took her family. Don't kill her!" Star ordered. Bolt loosened his jaws, allowing the filly to breathe.
Narrowleaf lept from the side of the palace, following the shift of the wind. "It's her..." He mumbled. - - Auto Merge - - Narrowleaf lept from the side of the palace, following the shift of the wind. "It's her..." He mumbled.
"Star, you are kidding. What do you want me to do?" Bolt asked. "Find her a family. Find her a place to stay. Not in a grave." Star replied. "Please let her go. I'm not sure how long my Daddy will listen. I feel the rage in him. I don't want you to die..." Star begged the filly
Bolt used half of his remaining power to rescue Flitter, and siphoned the rest into Narrowleaf. "Goodbye." He said telepathically to Leaf and in person to Star before fading. "You...you KILLED MY DADDY! Die!" Star said, launching fireballs that exploded on impact at the filly. She saw that the filly was going to run so she bound her soul onto a very small plane of alternate reality. The filly remained in a universe the size of an arena while Star went home. She healed all of Flitter's life threatening illness only to collapse sobbing.
Narrowleaf shook his head, and continued to dash. "Can you give me more to go off of, love?" He asked, hoping Brisk could hear. "...If it's not too much to ask..."
Bolt awoke in the cold, dark place he had before, when he had exploded. He grunted. His torso was still pierced. "Death. Face me. If you wish." He requested. Death walked from the shadow, black coat and black eyes now emptier than before. He did not wish to fight. "I need to leave. Throw the fight if you choose not to win." Bolt required. Death shocked him with a red spell. It empowered him. "Climb. No wings. Up the stairway." Death seethed. Bolt began to climb.
The change brought Narrow to a small forest. He had been here before, a long time ago. It was the place where Brisk had tried to show him before Flitter stopped her. There was a faint buzzing inside, and the forest trees swayed, despite there being no breeze. The forest hummed with lost secrets, almost feeling as if it was watching Narrow. Flitter was unconscious. She had been close to Death when she was healed, and she was still in that area now. She looked around, shaky, and heard something. It wasn't much. But something. It had to be better than this... oblivion. She began to walk down the dark hallway, her eyes large, her horn glowing.
"Brisk..?" Narrowleaf called. "...Is that you, darlin'..?" He sighed, shaking his head. "Probably just my imagination..."
Bolt fell, finding his wings were cracked. He writhed in pain. "Fight me you coward!" He taunted. Death shook his head. "Not this time." He seethed.
Bolt tackled Death. "If I kill you, nopony will die. You'll be trapped falling in the void. But I like you Death. Please...I have a family. I need to protect them. This time, I'll probably be swinging back by here more. I would love to talk. I really would. You are one of my most cherished friends. I know you're lonely here. Maybe you just n- The filly. If she were with you...she...Death would you accept a daughter?" Bolt asked, removing himself. Death hugged him. Death had respected Bolt, now he loved him as a brother. Bolt was all he had.
Narrowleaf began to howl, accompanying the humming. In his mind, he was begging for Brisk. No... He was praying, hoping something would hear it.
Bolt pulled away. "Thanks. I'll make sure she gets here. I'll call her Pandora, for the time being. Now...let me go. You can take these in exchange." Bolt said, handing Death the skull gauntlets he had bought. He was whisked away and appeared...next to Leaf. "How is this my purpouse? How?!?" He screamed. "He is your brother. He needs you, and you need him. It's your turn to help him first." Death echoed in their minds.
Narrowleaf stopped. "What the buck do you want?!" He asked, growling. - - Auto Merge - - Narrowleaf stopped. "What the buck do you want?!" He asked, growling.
