"She can. I'll just stay and die..." Bolt sighed. "I hate both of you! I give up!" Star screamed, flying away while Bolt sat and looked at Flitter with empty and crushed eyes.
"Only if that means you still care about me. If you do, I'll kill all of these changelings...if you don't, they get free lunch." Bolt said, standing and looking to see what his next move was, eyes flashing red.
Flitter looked at him. "Bolt. If you have any love for me left, get out." "I don't know what to think." whispered Brisk. "Thank Celestia, you're still here."
Bolt kissed her and then grabbed her and teleported into the woods. "I already told you when I married you. I stick with you. Whatever happens." He said. "And if they chase us they better be ready for one hell of a firestorm. You can't leave me alone, Flitter. I don't want you around the changelings. Something is wrong with them..."
"Th-Thanks, Brisk." Narrowleaf responded, smiling. "We do have to find the others. There isn't a trail I can smell. Are you strong enough to teleport?"
Flitter pushed him away. "'You stick with me?!?'" "Yeah.." she said, shakily grabbing his paw, and teleporting.
"You know what Star said was true. I put strategy first. I sat down and ate food with that mare. That's a problem? And you know what? I don't give a damn right now! I care about you more and you're not leaving me! Now come on! We need to find Brisk and Leaf." Bolt said, grabbing her and flying fast towards where he saw Leaf running. "You're not gonna break this grip."
Narrowleaf sighed. "Are you alright?" he asked, transforming back into a pony. "I-" he stopped when he noticed Fire Bolt and Flitter arguing.
"Flitter, your safety is more important than my want to be with you forever. If you're safe, no, when you're safe, you can hate me. And I will get a sword and show you as I slit my neck. But not until you're safe." Bolt grunted, tightening the grip further
Flitter yelped, and a horrifying snap came from her arm. It bent at an uneven angle, and Flitter stared in horror.
Bolt laughed. "They think my mother hasn't taught me how to heal things...why...why is the order so hell bent on taking you from me..." Bolt asked. "Oh...Leaf! LEAF! BRISK! UP HERE!" Bolt yelled, swooping down as he saw Narrowleaf running through the forest.
"Get your hooves off of her!" Narrowleaf roared, setting Brisk down onto the ground. He transformed into a timberwolf and slammed into Bolt, sending Bolt flying backwards.
Brisk flew to Flitter. "What happened?" Brisk asked frantically. Flitter shook her head, and her horn glowed.
Bolt held onto Flitter and growled at Leaf. "I'm here to give her to you moron. Something is wrong and these two need to stay together at all costs. Get over your malice for me for the sake of their safety. You carry them. I'll lead. We all need to get somewhere safe!" Bolt snapped
Bolt sighed. "You could've said so nicely. I'm gonna fix i-" Bolt said as Star appeared. "Oh my...you've all seemed to figure it out now..." Star laughed, grabbing Flitter. "You're not staying with them. They'll be able to fight if you do. I should kill you, Mommy." She spat. Bolt got up. "I'm a monster. Damn right. Put her down or I'll un-make you, Star." Bolt threatened.
