Bolt decided it was time to end the talking. He chanted a verse in an ancient language, shot a beam at the sky and a second later meteors fell from the sky. He let out a barbaric cry as he charged towards his own cousin. She tried to sidestep again, but he turned with her, flaming body catching her right in the leg. She stood back up. The two locked horns, but Bolt was a lot stronger than her there, ramming her into a tree. He let out a spell, it would slowly drain her energy. As long as she didn't discover it, he had this won. He flew up into the sky and yelled while using his horn, fire following his words. He then began to glow, and landed next to Black Star. She charged him, and he let off all of his stored energy in an explosion of fire. He did all of this out of paranoia. And the last thing he did to his cousin was ram his horn through her. Her eyes began to glaze over, and he said softly "I've freed you from whatever you did. I hope you have a second chance to live a good life. I love you, Star." A smile came on to his cousin's face as she nodded, mouthed "I love you too, Bolt" and then went limp. She fought like she wanted to die...and he noticed it. She should have been able to kill him, but she didn't. He hung his head in sorrow and flew back to the palace.
Bolt saw the others and landed in front of them. He didn't try to hide his sorrow. Instead, he put his head on Leaf's shoulder and began to cry. "She's dead...I killed my own cousin." He said through sobs.
Brisk's expression turned to one of compassion. Then to surprise. She swept up in a flurry of light, and Flitter was there. She lifted a hoof. "I'm.. sorry." she murmured.
"Thanks, Flitter. She fought like she wanted me to kill her. She got away from what was haunting her...and I guess I can look at that and be happy. At least the last thing I said to her was I love you..." Bolt said.
"Thanks...I don't want to go back to the palace tonight. Can we spend the night at Sweet Apple Acres? I need some unconditional acceptance...and Applejack is like a second mother to me." Bolt asked Leaf.
"I thought it was implied. I need Brisk there...and I think its about time I got to know Flitter...even if the side of me she'll see is the pathetic one. Flitter, please come with us." Bolt said, sorrowful eyes trained on Flitter's
Bolt trotted next to him. "Leaf...I'm sorry for being a terrible brother. You deserve better, and I promise I'll try to give you better. " Bolt said, sorrow in his voice. He was weak enough to apologize now.
"I... it... I-I... B-B-Bolt..." Narrowleaf couldn't speak, but clearly meant what he was trying to say.
"Dude. I'm not going to judge you. Say what you're going to say. I don't need another cliffhanger of a conversation..." Bolt said.
"Well...we're here anyw-" Bolt said before a lasso was thrown around him. "LEAF!!! I'M NOT COMFORTABLE IN THIS SITUATION!!!!" Bolt said, as Applejack laughed at him trying to fly out of the lasso. Bolt hit his hurt hoof on the ground and fell over yelling in pain.
