Flitter had been bleeding heavily from the bite. However, she covered it up with her wings. Brisk's safety was more important. When she heard Narrowleaf, she hid, watching him.
Narrowleaf stopped for a moment. "Wh-who's there?! I can sense you. You d-don't need to hide, whoever you are." He called.
"Flitter... I'm scared, too. If you're who's there, don't you think I'm scared?!" Narrowleaf said. "At least you d-don't into a monster!" He took a deep breath. "You asked me if I was going to ask Brisk to marry me... I was."
"You say you're trying to protect her, but what if you die?! Don't you think an Alicorn won't protect her?! Or the pony who loves her?!" He replied to his own comment.
"I never said I was. I said I was the pony who loved her. Now p-please... let me talk to her. I have a dagger, and I'll give up my life to t-talk to her." Narrowleaf said.
Bolt flew down. "What the hell are you two doing?" He saw the bitemarks on Flitter. "BASTARD!" He said, literally losing it on Leaf. When he finally regained himself, he saw quite a few scorch marks on Leaf's face and flank. "Explain yourself. No wait. This is your third strike, and it was against Flitter. Get away. Before I make you. Before I summon my new eternal slave to make you. And if you refuse...I can use your dead body to bring back Black Star. So I have nothing to lose by killing your sorry flank right here right now, Narowleaf! RUN FROM YOUR DOOM!!!!!!" Bolt yelled
Narrowleaf ran over and hugged Brisk. "Brisk... before Flitter decided to leave, I... I was going to ask you to marry me. I... didn't mean to bite you. You all should know this by know. I..." He stopped, still crying.
Bolt held back his anger. "Fix her bite mark. Fix the curse. And I won't fry you to bits. And because I can't trust anypony in your family except Applejack, there's gonna be a team trying to find a cure for this curse. But that's not important. Get your sorry timberwolf ass into that alchemy lab and work. Work or die, that is. Because I sure do miss my cousin..." Bolt trailed, feverishly attempting not to kill Leaf.
"Bolt... we tried. If you're born a timberwerewolf, there is no cure." Narrowleaf mumbled. "Don't you th-think my ancestors tried?"
"Don't contradict me. You just tried to turn the love of my life into a monster. You should be burnt to a damn crisp right now. But Brisk wouldn't like that, and I guess that means Flitter wouldn't either. If you don't make the mix for her again, I'll gladly take your life." Bolt said through clenched teeth and a burning mane.
Brisk sighed in aggravation. "I'll have you both know that Flitter is two seconds away from coming out and eating both of you for brunch!" she said loudly.
"Look. I made a promise to Flitter. I told her I'd... give up my life to say good-bye to Brisk." Narrowleaf responded.
"Well then you're an idiot. Brisk is right there. Say goodbye. I'm not quite sure you have to kill yourself though. It would hurt me to see you leave..." Bolt said. "Ever since that Luna incident, it's like you think you're all that. You've been deliberately ruining every aspect of my life. I'm sick of it Leaf. But you don't care. Neither does Brisk. Only Flitter cares. And I'm not entirely sure what you're going to do next, Leaf. But by now, I know it's gonna have no concern for me. So here. Do it, because after what you've done to me, only a small part of me will ever really miss you." Bolt said, telling Narrowleaf how big the rend in his trust really was.
