Bolt zapped him with a yellow spell, and instantly his head had a sharp pain. "Ouch! We don't have time to lay down. I gave you some of my energy. Ouch, my head!!!!" Bolt yelled. "I think it was from whatever Brisk hit me with. I'm going back in. Stand watch. Take this...It's another strength charm...but I think you'll like the effects. Read the letter with it." "Sprite! It's Bolt!" said Flitter's voice. "Buck. They can't know. What can we do?" came a crying Brisk voice.
Suddenly, a stallion made of tree bark rose from the dirt. He saluted Narrowleaf. "Go scout around, look out for any... signs... of trouble..."
"We already know. Leaf has been able to see you this whole time. I've heard you. The question is for Brisk and Flitter...Leaf wants to marry you, Brisk, and I want to marry you, Flitter. I know a way to make this happen, and we'll either have to pick one of you to carry on the extras, or I'll gladly give up my horn to give all of you your own life...think about it, we'd be able to repopulate New Equestria all in one day! But the answer falls to you two...are you willing to be separated but not really separated?" Bolt asked.
The wooden stallion rushed back, pointed over a hill, then turned back into the charm. "Wonder what he saw..." Narrowleaf trotted to the hill and saw nothing. "Lousy..."
"All 300 of you are some sort of weird type of family. 300 is an estimate. And no offence, I find it quite interesting. You all seem to answer to one ultimate pony...who is neither Brisk or Flitter. And out of the 300 of you, 150 like me more than Leaf and the other 150 like him more than me. Brisk hates me. I don't think Flitter does. And that's about it." Bolt said, shrugging.
"What?" came Brisk's voice. "Sprite..." came Flitter's reluctant voice. "That's not it at all. There are two of use. Me, Sprite, and her, Viking."
Well. Leaf lied to me then. I think it's because I've heard you all speak in about 4 voices a bunch of times...sorry. Well, Viking, Sprite, nice to meet you. I'm Fire Bolt. I'm still maintaining that Brisk hates me...how couldn't she? "Brisk, Flitter...do you wanna go with my plan...because I believe it will end this stupid fighting...and we'll have two more ponies in our family, and that's always a plus." Bolt said, standing close to Leaf.
"You don't understand.." came a distressed Brisk's voice. "My name is Sprite. You know me as Brisk, but my name is Sprite. Flitter is Viking."
