"I was right all along...I'm so sorry." Bolt said, running up to both Brisk and Flitter and wrapping his hooves around them. "I killed your mother...and his father, and my cousin...I-I'm so sorry Brisk. I didn't know!" He yelled, tears falling from his eyes. "I...I...Leaf...Brisk...Flitter...I'm such a monster..." He said, head hanging in shame
Brisk was sobbing now. "Changlings don't grow attached to others. I suppose being different, and being two changlings in one changed us." Holes began to come through her skin.
"Look... if it makes you feel any better, I don't care." Narrowleaf said. "You're still beautiful to me."
"Brisk. Can I please try the spell? All we need is to know we tried to be with the ones we loved. I don't care if you're a changeling. Because you're different. And so is Flitter. So do you guys want to try this?" Bolt implored.
Brisk closed her eyes, and her horn glowed. Flitter appeared next to her. "We can already do so. It's just.... I'm sorry. I don't believe it's possible. We.. we are a part of one another. We..." she stammered, trying to explain. "It's like... imagine losing your closest thing. Whatever it is in the world you most cherish. Imagine losing that. When ever we are apart.... it's like life has no meaning anymore. You feel empty. Alone."
"I feel your exact pain...because the closest thing I have anymore is Flitter. I've lost everything else...Well, I mean this could still work. We'd all live under one roof, you two would share rooms...I'm sorry but I'm trying to make it work for everyone 'cuz I'm sick of fighting with NarrowLeaf.
"And the spell is reversible. I forgot that part. THAT's the part that will make me lose a good 1/2 of my horn." Bolt said.
