Bolt walked up to Flitter. "Can I tell you what I was going to tell you now?" He asked

"Well...that's not all. Flitter, I would stay in here forever just to be with you. W-will you M-marry me?" Bolt asked.

Narrowleaf ran over and turned back into a pony. "Sorry. What's up, guys?"

 

"Wh-what's wrong?!" Narrowleaf asked.

 

"Fl-Flitter?" Bolt said. "Are you o-okay? I didn't m-mean to anger y-you..."

 

"What happened?"

 

Bolt sat there helplessly looking at Flitter, tears streaming down his face. "Not now, Leaf...just...not now." He said. He began to move towards Flitter. "I honestly don't care if you're a changeling...nothing like that matters to me. I love you for who you are, Flitter. A-and, I don't know w-why you're acting like this, b-but it's starting to scare m-me. P-please, just tell me what's on your m-mind, and w-we can fix all of th-this." Bolt said through sobs

 

"R-right... I'll just let you guys deal with that," Narrowleaf responded, slowly backing away. "Meanwhile, I'll just... go."

 

"Flitter...don't do this. I've been waiting for this since the moment I met you. And if you refuse to give me closure...I will go on a mass revenge spree against all who have forsaken the mighty Fire Bolt!" Bolt said, his eyes beginning to sparkle with a mix of rage, confusion, and sorrow that was taking control over him

 

"Right. See you two... later." With that, Narrowleaf left Brisk's mind.

 

He shook himself out of it by literally biting his own hoof. "Sorry. I-I can't control when that happens. But Flitter...please. I've been getting nothing but bad news...and with everything I've been doing despite that, I will selfishly say that I deserve at least a chance to make you happy. P-please...just g-give me a chance. Just one. T-that's all I ask." Bolt pleaded.

 

"Wh-what the hoof is that?!!"
A massive swarm of something flew overhead, heading towards Ponyville.

 

Bolt was ripped out of Brisk's head by the sound of his mother screaming.
He jumped up in front of her as the Shadowbolts descended on the palace.
The wonderbolts formed a protective circle around the two.
"Charge!!!!" Bolt said. The two unicorns that guarded Fluttershy stuck with her as Bolt led the charge into the horde.

 

Narrowleaf dashed home. He found a large, dead apple tree, and buried the strength charm Bolt gave him.
"Work! C'mon..."
