A blast of black dust came from behind the group. They turned to see Bolt, with his horn at Nightmare Moon's throat. "You're stupid to think I didn't see that coming." He said, sneering at the Alicorn at his mercy.
Brisk looked at Narrow, tears streaking down her cheek. "Narrow! Narrow, are you ok? What happened!?" Flitter gave a little gasp of surprise. "Bolt.. what is going on?"
"I said get out of here! Do you not see what I'm fighting! I don't want any of you to die because I wasn't strong enough to hold off an enemy!" Bolt cried, eyes beginning to flare
"D-don't cry... Please... I've been sick for a while. I th-thought I had another thousand or two..." He replied faintly. "B-Brisk.. It hurts..."
Flitter shook her head, and assumed her defense position. "I don't leave your side." she said, horn glowing, eye turning demonic. "What do you mean Narrow? Please.. just tell me." she begged.
"Brisk...make Leaf hang in there until the lovely couple is done tearing Nightmare Moon to pieces" Bolt said. "You shoot first, Flitter. She's not going anywhere."
A shadow leaked out of her horn, and slipped into Nightmare Moon's ear. It was quiet. And then she screamed with fear, angry, pain, and sorrow.
"I've been d-deathly sick, Brisk... I thought I would be fine for a few thousand y-years... I want you to do something for me..." Narrowleaf replied.
Bolt charged, ramming his horn into the Alicorn's neck. He sent a burst of fire through the gaping hole, boiling her blood.
"Whatever it is." she replied, looking at him fearfully, clasping his hoof in hers. Flitter's eyes turned white, and her horn glowed once more. A blast of shadow came, enveloping Nightmare Moon and herself. They rose into the air. With a flash, they disappeared.
Brisk sat back on her legs, her breath increasing. "What? No! You.. you can't ask me to do that. No. I won't. Please. There... has to be something." she said, sobbing.
Bolt ran over. "I'll do it...only if you're sure Leaf. But hurry and choose!" Bolt yelled, desperately worried about Flitter.
"P-please, Brisk... Everything will be fine..." Narrowleaf mumbled, his own tears falling. "It'll b-be okay..."
"Brisk...do you want me to? Or should I go pr-" Bolt felt something change. "NIGHTMARE'S GOT HER DOWN! I'M OUT!" Bolt said, warping away
"No.. he won't die. Narrow won't." she said, head on his chest, quivering. Flitter had taken her far, far beyond Equestria. Space. Her heart pounding, she and Nightmare approached the sun, the pull of gravity beckoning them.
"I d-don't know how long I h-have, Brisk..." Narrowleaf replied. "But if you change your mind, I want y-you to do it..."
Flitter was screaming when Bolt reached the realm of Flitter. "Get. Off. I am your opponent. Don't pick on the weak. I am obviously the end to you, so face me!" Bolt yelled, mane spiking up and glowing a blue color. "Flitter, you're about to see what I do to people that buck with my family." Bolt yelled, ramming once again into Nightmare Moon.
