"Oh, thank you Levi." Celestia walked to the throne, and opened the door with her magic. Star burst in. "Oh nice to see you St-" Star cut her off. "My amulet is breaking, and I keep seeing these visions of giant green eyes!" Celestia paused. "Hmmm. Levi could help you control your magic while I fix the amulet. "Levi! Come over here!"
Star jumped at the sight of Levi, and the crack opened a bit more. "Yes, Levi, Star here needs help controlling her magic while I fix the amulet." Celestia's horn glowed, temporarily sealing Star's Magic, as she levitated the amulet off. "Levi, show Star to the magic containment room, and remove my seal when you're in there. Star, I trust you to explain the details of your magic to Levi. It will take about a day to fix the amulet, so I'll be gone in that time. Star is not too leave the room unless you deem her ready to do so, Levi. Good luck to the both of you." She spread her wings, and flew off the balcony, leaving Star in Levi's supervision.
Star followed Levi until they reached a large, spiraling stair case. They descended until they reached the bottom, and there was a locked door which required an Alicorn's horn as a key.
Star walked into the circular chamber that was the magic containement room. No magic could enter or escape once the door closes. There were ancient magic runes carved in the wall, pulsating in a incandescent blue light. "Ok, Levi, before you remove the seal, I want you too know a few things about my magic and it's origins. Are you ready?"
Star took a deep breath in, and exhaled. "My magic is not unicorn in origin; It's Changeling. When I was 10, I woke up in the center of an Everfree Forest Tribe. I was brainwashed as soon as my physical condition was deemed well enough to be a slave. I don't remember much during this time, except for actually liking it. However, a small part in the back of my conscious observed the effects, learning how it works, and how to use it. On my 16th birthday, I broke free and escaped from the hive, making my way back to Canterlot. However, my magic was extremely unstable, and altered the emotions of those around me until Celestia gave me the amulet. Keep in mind that the magic used on me was about ten times stronger than the form used on Captain Shining Armor by Chyrsalis, possible strong enough to force an Alicorn to submit, since it's two years of repressed magic we're talking about here. As soon as you remove the seal, since we're the only ones in here, it will flood your mind full force, while easily taking mine. The trick to fighting it is to stay calm, don't think about the thoughts it plants in your head, and most importantly; don't think about your loved ones. If you do, it will use the knowledge to its own advantage. Remove the seal when you're ready."
(Levi) My will is a steel trap. I defeated Chrysalis once to protect my mom. I overcame her influence to finish her off for good. I acquired a titanium-strong resistance to Changeling control. *removes the amulet* Come at me, Changeling magic.
As soon as the seal was removed, dark green streaks of magic exploded out of Star's horn, bouncing around circular chamber at incredible speeds, and entering Levi's body. Star's eyes turned a radiating green, as the magic quickly took her. Not only did she have to keep it at bay, she had to find a way to shut off her magic so the will of the changelings wouldn't use it to interfere with Levi's fight. "It would feel so much better to submit to the power." Said the Changeling Influence inside Star's head. "Not happening." "Come on. think of the power you'll gain." "Again, not happening." The Influence was un-amused. It used magic to cause crippling pain inside Star, almost enough to make her lose focus. Star screamed in pain, before another jolt of magic caused her to lose focus, letting the influence take over. In Levi's mind, the influence began to manifest itself. He immediately noticed it was stronger than Chrysalis' Magic, but still manageable. It began to search his mind for fears and weaknesses. If Levi remembered what Star told him, the magic would have a harder time taking over him.
The shouting in anger didn't exactly help Levi. The influence absorbed his anger and became stronger. "Fool. Don't you know that I feed off emotion? You're just making me stronger." Star rose up from the ground, her eyes green with malice. In an attempt to weaken Levi, the influence beckoned her to use her magic to force Levi into doing more emotional actions, to feed the influence. Star fought at first, but after another surge of painful magic, she complied. Her horn glowed green, and forced all sorts of emotion into him. Love, anger, happiness, depression. It would have been more effective if the spell wasn't being cast on an alicorn, who's natural magic ability weakens all normal magic to about 90% of it's normal capacity. It worked nonetheless, albeit weakened.
The Changeling influence inside Levi stopped for a moment. "No emotion? No matter, I have other ways of making you comply. Now... About your magic." The Changeling Magic found its way into Levi's horn. With quick action, it could easily be dispelled. Star sensed this, and used her knowledge of changeling magic to channel it into her horn, and dispel it. It took every it of energy she had left and all her willpower, but she did it. She collapsed on the ground, panting. Little did she know she did not rid herself of the source of the influence, which locked itself in a unreachable, undetectable part of her mind. It wouldn't be able to control her for a while, but it was barely strong enough to influence her emotions in very subtle ways.
-Levi's emotions suddenly return as Levi dispels the magic into a timeless void- (Levi) Flawless victory.
Star's horn glowed a light blue, using her normal magic for the first time in 2 years. Levi's horn glowed the same color, fixing the strain. "That should help the strain. Ah, that feels nice, finally using my normal magic." On the outside, she seemed happy, but she knew extended exposure to the Changelings magic could cause her to have an, "attack" at anytime. She would have to learn how to suppress that.
(Levi) *scans Star* It seems that changeling magic has been completely expelled from your body. You are now free to use magic to your fullest potential.
