"About a year." Winter said, "That is, married." Snow nodded, "I'm also going to be having a baby, though I'm only a month or so along so it isn't obvious yet."
The fox stares wide-eyed for a second, his mouth open before it's drawn up into a smile. "Oh that's wonderful!" He said, tilting his head to go with the slightly dopey expression. "Do you know what your expecting yet? Boy, girl, wings, unicorn, what? Oh! And names?" Then a sudden realisation hit his head. The javalin-like thought struck, stunning him for a second. His smile washes away. "Wait, so a pregnant mare is in the middle of a war? I'm surprisingly OK with that. I know eight-fold that you'll want to stay behind her."
"I would protect Snow and the baby until the end of the world." Winter confirmed, "And no, we don't know if its a colt or filly yet. So, again the question remains, stay here and wait out the humans, or find something else to do to fight back?"
"What CAN we do?!" Fire exclaimed, "They've got the weapons, the vehicles, and the armor, while we've got nothing but what we brought with us. And that's close to nothing."
"Well and I don't think Snow should be doing anything super strenuous also." Dark said. "Yea, that teleport was only done because it was a neccesity." Winter agreed. "But.." Snow started to argue. "NO!" Dark and Winter yelled simultaneously.
"Regardless, I think we need to find some supplies. Weapons, armor, whatever. These humans are too well armed for us to go charging at them empty hoofed." Fire said
Arrows had just barely escaped Canterlot. He went into the Everfree Forest and took refuge in the forest to wait out the war. "This is horrible. I wish I could help in someway..." Arrows thought to himself
"Of course." Tyro agreed. "We'll also need to see what we can do about gaining as much help as possible. Maybe I could talk to Luna...After that, it's a matter of choosing where to strike carefully."
"Uh Tyro... I have bad news about Luna. OPIAT said that Freedom Rock was under attack, Freedom Rock was Celestia's and Luna's primary royal bunker. That's where they likely fled after the attack on Canterlot. And I know from exprience that Tremalion is a lot more powerful than Celestia and Luna combined, I will be willing to bet that there are three possiblites that could have happened to her." Snow said, "Most likely, she has been captured by the humans, next likely is that she is flat out dead or close to it. Least likely is that is excaped and is somewhere you probably can't contact her.."
"I've faced worse." Winter said, "Try being alone, without food or water, stuck in the middle of a hostile desert. Here we are in a cushy Safe Area, only accessable by unicorns mind you, with the only threat of death coming from venturing outside." Snow whacked him in the back of the head, giving with a rude glare. "What?" he asked innocently, rubbing the back of his head.
"We still have to worry about the humans, unless you'd rather chill out here in the cushy safe area and let innocents get captured and killed." Fire said, "Quite frankly, I'm hating this place right now, I feel useless just sitting here."
"Well, this is an old prison bunk of The Commanders back in the Resistance. We could turn it into a refugee camp, if I remember correctly, there is a mechanism outside that I can activate and we can allow those who can't fly or teleport up here. Even then I will have to let them in if they are non-magical." Snow said.
(Fast forward speed, GO!) In the 7 months that followed, the Elements of the Ancients that had gone with Snow to Safe Area 3 had gathered any survivor they could, crowding the bunker with almost 200 ponies. Snow had been bed-ridden for the past couple of weeks as her baby grew ever closer to birth, finally, the day has come, and the baby of Winter Warmth and Snow Mark has been born. You're in the nursery, looking through the glass with Winter, waiting for the baby to be taken out.
Fire nods his head, "Hopefully we'll be able to deal with the human crisis soon so your kid doesn't have to grow up in a war."
(Fast forward comes with consequences.) Karl was laying in a coma at the infirmary. He had suffered from another pain of wave, but this time his body had fighted against, making him burst into flames as a counter-measure against the wave of pain. He had some major-degree burns on spots on his body, but most of him was intact and without damage. He smiled in his sleep as the spark was somewhere in his vicinity, glowing stronger than ever, playfully but also sleepishly. (Anyone guess who the spark is?)
