Karl was bored. Really bored. He was looking out the window in his boredness, not paying attention to the teacher at all. But then, he saw something behind the wall. It was pitch black, but looked like a flame. As soon as it looked back, it disappeared behind the wall. Now Karl was fixated on finding out what that was. He simply decided to put his head forward, and pay attention to the teacher. But as soon as the class is over, he's gonna bolt out and check that... thing out.
Night Time stopped doodling and looked at the clock. Come on, come on, end of school! He thought, a look of boredom on his face.
It was with a mix of anticipation and dread that Cyanside entered the classroom. "Uh...hi everypony." Suddenly all eyes were on her, the teacher (a dark green female unicorn) looking particularly cross at the interruption. Cyanside quickly walked over to an empty seat and sat down, lest she invite the teacher's wrath. The teacher cleared her throat before continuing. "So as I was saying, by using bedmas we can show that the equation-" Cyansides hoof was raised in a question, as she had been told by her father was the proper thing to do at school. The teacher looked her over scrutinizingly, before checking a piece of paper on her desk. Looking back to Cyanside the teacher asked her none too kindly "Are you sure you are in the right class miss...?" "Cyanside." "Miss Cyanside, As i do not see-" "No no no, Cyanside is my whole name, I guess I'd be Miss Side in that-" Cyanside shut her mouth as the teacher stared at her, waiting for her to be quiet. "So...Cyanside, which room do you think this is?" "Err...the classroom?" "No, I meant the room number, this is room 108, you were likely meant to go to room 100, we had a couple of new students get that mixed up earlier...but none this late in the school day." "So you mean...?" "YOU'RE IN THE WRONG CLASSROOM!!!" "Oh..." Cyanside shot out of her desk in a rush for the correct class, only succeeding in getting herself more lost as the sounds of class 108's laughter faded away behind her. "All-pony schools suck" She said amidst her sobs. (All-pony school=A school everypony can attend, that's why the teacher is a unicorn despite Cyanside being a pegasus.)
Alice was sitting in the front of the class. She seemed to be one of the only ones eager to learn, although she was more interested in making friends.
Gea giggled and looked up at the teacher. "Stick ponies are great. They get the point across well enough..." She looks at the drawing in front of her and crumples it up with her hooves.
Eventually, Snow had shown enough knowing of what the tutor was trying to teach that he left the room, flustered, and simply put a sheet of paper in front of Moonlight saying she passed by as much as was possible to pass by. When Moonlight went to see Snow, she decided to joke around with her daughter a bit, "Well, at least he lasted longer than the last one right?"
"Just a drawing...It's not important." She looks at the crumpled ball of paper and pushes it to the edge of her desk.
"Sure...I don't see why not." She pushes the crumpled paper towards him. "It isn't anything special, though..."
"You would have a fit if you've seen the papers I've crumpled." She giggles and takes the paper back.
"I really think you should keep your drawings, especially when they're this good!" Fire said, just before the bell rang and students were free to go home. (School days are cut in half during their first year) Fire hopped out of his seat, "My name's Firebreeze, by the way."
With the first day of school over Alice decided to talk to someone and make a new friend. she decided on a dark red colt. "Hi my names Alice whats yours." She said running up to him.
"What part of ponyville do you live in?" She asked. "My dad wanted us to live in cloudsdale, but my mom wouldn't hear of it, being a unicorn and all." She stretched out her wings, itching to take off.
