He shrugged slightly, brushing back her hair gently before standing up.

"It's an affectionate term. Like a pet name."

 

He frowned, tilting his head.

"C... cyoot...?"

 

He laughed slightly, although he seemed a little confused.

"You're sleepy. Go back to bed, okay?"

 

He frowned, looking down at her and kneeling down beside her.

"What is it?"

 

He looked puzzled, tilting his head almost amusedly.

"Alright, Aspen. Go back to sleep."

 

He shook his head and went back to work.

 

August was setting a plate in front of Eli, yawning tiredly.

 

They both looked over at her.

"Morning," August said.

 

He set a plate of breakfast in front of her, yawning slightly.

"I'm going to go shower..."

 

"Mmhm..."
