"I like you more than the pancakes."
"That's sweet, but we don't want to have to redo another one."
"I'm just saying."
"I appreciate it."
She looked back at the pancake with a slight frown.
"You need to support it," he teased.
"The pancake?"
"Yes."
"I need support," she teased.
"In what?"
She looked around before sitting on the floor. "Physically."
He huffed, leaning down and picking her up easily.
She laughed slightly. "Oh, good. I'm cured!"
"Your pancake is burning."
She slipped out of his arms, standing. "It's not burning yet!"
"But it could be."
She checked on it.
It was bubbling.
"That means it's okay, right?"
"That's good," he agreed. "Now flip it."
