“No, no,” he hastened, holding her jaw in his hands. “It’s great! I just... I guess I don’t know why it’s different now. It’s just like before, except we kiss and hug.”
She nodded slightly, relaxing under his touch but still seeming nervous. "Yeah.. That's kind of how it is."
“So that’s what this is?” he asked, looking down at her. “You don’t want to start a family with me or anything?”
"But I'm happy when Eli is around," he mused thoughtfully, lying back in the bed. "I like him too. But I'm not kissing him."
She sighed, looking thoughtful. "I suppose there's not much difference between friendship and relationship."
