She tilted her head, her brows furrowing slightly. "Eli sent me to you. He said I should talk to you about attacking the Mad King." She huffed slightly. "And I know it sounds like a bad idea, but I have resources."
“That’s... a lot of information,” he said quietly, going over to the window. “The Mad king lives in the Fort. I’m not sure how you’re going to be able to get in there.”
"Well, what do you need from me?" he asked, pulling a large sword out from the forge and picking up his hammer. "I can't do anything."
He hammered down on the sword and sparks flew as he shaped the blade into the correct shape. He lifted the blade and set it in a basin of water, which hissed in reaction to the heat.
She hadn't seen swords being made before. It intrigued her. She kept her hands on her ears when she spoke, her voice raised slightly, but it was uncertain whether it was intentional or not. "How come you don't cover your ears?"
He looked over at her thoughtfully. “I’m used to it, I suppose,” he said, shrugging as he pulled the blade out of the water.
"I've never seen it done before.." She shook her head. "I'm not sure what Eli sent me over here for. He said you could tell me what I need to know, but I think you've told me all you know about it."
He hesitated before looking out across the town. “I’ve done some studies on the Fort. It’s surprisingly well made, but there are flaws in the structure. Maybe that’s why Eli told you to talk to me.”
