They approached the edge of the Fort. It was huge, by far the largest structure she would have seen, but it was tall and dark and silent.
The Fort was imposing and formidible, but it seemed rough around the edges, as if built very fast. They walked quietly, keeping their eyes open.
It was well made, despite the haphazard layout. However, there was a small hole in the wall about half a mile later, very close to the ground.
"I'm not sure," he said thoughtfully, leaning down to look at it. "Some sort of animal may have dug their way in or something."
