She tilted her head. "It's not? Can I explore the fort, then?"
“Sure,” he said with a nod. “Go for it.”
She got up, kissing his cheek. "Any places I need to know about?"
“Togo to, or to avoid?”
"Both?"
“Eh. I can’t think of anything specific, but then again, I can’t see.”
She gave a small smile. "See you soon? I'll come back here after."
“Did you really just say ‘see you soon’?”
She went quiet. "Ah.."
He squinted in her general direction. “Not funny.”
"It was an accident!"
“Sure.”
"Catch you later.."
He laughed, slipping on his helmet. “Bye.”
She grinned before heading out.

August wasn’t back late that night.
Aspen frowned, sitting on the edge of the bed, getting rather nervous.
The door opened slowly, and August stumbled in, still wearing his armor.
