"Maybe I can see if we can move back to your room?"
“That would be nice,” he said tiredly.
She nodded, kissing the top of his head before going to ask.
She was approved.”
She returned. "We can go to your room."
"Oh, good," he said tiredly, trying to stand up.
She took his hands, going to help him.
He laughed sadly. "Thank you. Sorry."
She kissed his cheek. "Don't worry. You'll be back on your feet without my help in no time."
“I’m a sad duck human.”
She laughed. "What?"
"I tend to think of ducks being clumsy."
She grinned, shaking her head. "Let's just get you to your room."
"Hm. Fine."
She nodded, helping back.
He sat down on the bed heavily, frowning. "I'm probably going to die soon."
She frowned, standing in front of him. "Why do you say that?"
"Because I'm all messed up."
She rested her hands on his knees idly. "You'll be okay, Aug. You just need to heal."
"I suppose..."
