She led him out, looking back. "Where would you like to go? My house?"
He paused, looking up at the sky. “Wow. It’s golden.”
She looked up, keeping his hand in hers. "It is."
“This is where you grew up?”
"It is.."
For a moment, he looked ashamed. “My home is so... dirty, compared to yours.”
She blinked. "Dirty? It's real. It's so much more real."
“But it’s not beautiful like this.”
"It is beautiful," she said easily. "C'mon.. Let's keep walking."
He followed, his head starting back and forth.
She led him to her house, her eyes bright.
He seemed awestruck, looking up at the stained glass sky.
She grinned back at him before approaching the door. "Here we are."
“This is where we were last night?”
"That's right, she said, opening the door.. "After we got the ice cream."
“This is bizarre.”
She stepped in, looking back at him. "It is."
“I can see. I never thought I’d be able to see again.”
She grinned. "Your eyes are brown again."
“Are they? What were they before?”
