He leaned back against the ship, closing his eyes.
She worked for quite awhile, frowning at the machinery.
He drifted off.
(Zoop?)
(Hoop!)
Aspen was still working hard awhile later, but had moved on to a new area.
He woke, blinking blearily. “Aspen?”
"Yeah?"
He relaxed, looking over at her.
She was still working, some dirt smudged on her cheek.
“You’re wonderful,” he murmured, coming over to her.
She looked up in surprise. "Huh?"
“I get so happy when I see you.”
She flushed. "I'm happy when I see you, too."
He nodded slowly, watching her affectionately. “You’re beautiful, Aspen.”
Her flush deepened. "Are you still half asleep?"
“Not at all. You have grime on your face.”
She reached up to wipe it with the back of her hand.
He watched her thoughtfully. “I love you,”
She brushed his hair back. "I love you too."
