“How’s it going?”
"I don't know. I don't think anything is working."
“Well, it’s only been a day...”
"I've just been going and going and nothing is even happening."
“It’s just been a day, baby. Don’t panic.”
She sighed, going back to work.
“Do you want breakfast?”
"I'm alright. I can wait."
“Come on, Aspen... you should eat...”
"Just let me work," she murmured. "I need to do this."
“You’re going to burn out,” he replied.
She frowned. "I'll be okay."
"Aspen, please. Just trust me."
She frowned before standing up. "Alright, fine."
He nodded, taking her hand. “Let’s go get food.”
"Okay," she replied, looking back at the panels.
“Don’t,” he chided gently, using his free hand to turn her to look back at him. “Be with me.”
She looked up at him before giving him a small smile. "I love you."
He paused before giving her a small smile. “I love you too.”
She squeezed his hand before heading back.
