(Gotcha.) Mo was sitting on the desk when she arrived with Dali. "Ugh. Why is he here?"
"He is coming with me."
"That hunk of metal?" "You're an automaton too!" "Yes, but a much more high-functioning one."
"It won't hurt to have a bit of protection," she said stubbornly. "In case anything happens."
"Ah. So he's here to act as a shield. I got it."
She frowned. "Stop that."
Dali looked over at Aspen. "Is that true?"
"No, Dali. Don't forget how you had to convince me."
He seemed confused. "Is this my directive?"
She sighed with a frown. "If you two are going to make this complicated I'm leaving."
"Leaving? Where?"
"Home. So let's just get ready to go without any problems."
"Fine," Mo grumbled.
"Thank you. So what do we do now?"
"Get ready, I suppose. Have you said goodbye?"
"As best I could. I didn't have time to visit, so.."
"We can take more time if you need."
"No, no.. It's fine. It'll be harder to leave if I face them."
Mo nodded slowly, looking at the door. "Alright then. Let me get on your shoulder."
She reached down and held her hand open for him to climb on.
