"I know you're not, Aug. I'm glad to have you."
"Not even slightly dead."
"Completely alive," she said, stretching out beside him.
He laid down next to her, kissing her jawline quickly. "Vital, even."
She looked over with a grin. "Perfect."
He beamed at her sunnily. "When are you going to go look for Mo?"
"Probably tomorrow, since it's kind of late."
"Good idea," he agreed, nodding. "Stay with me."
"Of course," she replied, kissing the side of his neck. "I'm rather comfortable here."
"Really? That's great news."
"I know, right?"
He laughed, pulling the blankets up around them. "The best."
She wrapped her arms around him, her touch gentle.
He kissed her forehead, running his fingers through her hair.
She relaxed. "I love you."
"I love you too."
She looked up at him, her thumb brushing his jaw.
He kissed her fingers, watching her. “What?”
She smiled slightly. "I'm so happy with you".
"Is that why you want to married me?"
