"Ih'liec," he said. "It's good. It's like... I don't know. Eli?"

"It's kinda like a creamy thing? It has sweetbread and strawberries, obviously, and like mild cheese."

 

"It is good!" Dali exclaimed. "It suits your tastes!"

 

"You alright?" August asked, bringing out a pot of coffee.

 

He looked surprised and confused, and Eli looked up as well.

"You did?"

 

His whole face lit up and he came over to her.

"Aspen! That's so sweet!"

 

"Thank you so much!"

 

"I... wow. I can't wait to check this out," he said, carrying the stuff over to the desk.

 

She would find it enjoyable. It was still warm and had a vague taste of a strawberry cheese danish.

 

August looked over his shoulder.

"Did you expect otherwise?"

 

"Are you doubting his cooking ability?" Eli asked, tilting his head.
