"A series of bells at each fort," he explained. "When one wire is tripped, its bell will ring at every fort."

 

"If they got in, yeah. I don't think they would, though. It's pretty well hidden."

 

"More wire," he confirmed. "And, obviously, the ability to go do it."

 

He hesitated, looking over at her.

"We do, but there are very specific spots the wire needs to be hooked up. I think we should talk to Eli first."

 

"We probably have enough wire to get to A2," he mused, looking down at the diagram.

 

"A2 is the first one you saw," he said, looking up at her.

 

"Probably. We do have to check with Eli."

 

"Eli's super grumpy, but he's pretty cool. Come on, let's write out the plan."

 

"You're putting too much faith in him."

 

"I've... but... I've grown up with him."
