"We could turn one of the forts into one."
"You them better than I do. I think that's a good idea."
"We'd have to develop some blueprints..." Eli mused. "Could you guys get that figured out?"
"I think so.. Oh, we also wanted to ask you something for a project."
"What project?"
She glanced at August. "It's kind of like an alarm."
He looked kind of nervous. "Yeah, Eli, it's the bells. I really think we have a plan now."
"Plus it won't be hard to set up and it'll help our safety!"
Eli squinted at them. "You've talked about this?"
She nodded brightly. "Yeah!"
"Even though I said no the first time?"
"You said no?"
"I did. It didn't seem reasonable."
"But why not?"
"The wires could be traced straight to us."
She paused. "Yeah.."
"I feel like the idea needs to be worked on a little more."
"Connect the wires through pipes and put them under the surface dirt."
He stared at her. “That’s a really good idea.”
"It is?'
