"Did I mention that the Pillagers are not above cannibalism?"

 

"You heard me. Still want to fight them?"

 

"That's what I thought."

 

"You'll get enough contact with them. You don't want to see any more than you have to."

 

"I'll keep you safe, don't worry."

 

They headed into the forest, Eli leading the way.

"Do you mind if we run?"

 

He started jogging, heading into the woods.

 

"We have padlocked storage spaces," he explained as they moved. "They're generally kept hidden, although it's not a huge deal if they're found. A lot of them are empty."

 

"They all have the same code, ipsilun, acres, yvrette and poinste. Remember that."

 

"Right. Do you know what that is?"
