"Years of practice," he replied, sounding like he was right by her ear. He set a small stack of lumber in her arms.
She would feel him tap her nose before light streamed in. He was back by the entrance, holding the door open with a ton of timber in his arms.
The sun was blinding as it was going over the horizon. "Here, give me the wood and close the lock, okay?"
