Like Clockwork (For Stuffy)

He had to smile.

"Like tonight?"

 

"Problem solved. I'm glad we managed to talk through it."

 

"Very mature."

 

"Right, well..." he said with a yawn, picking up his empty bowl. "I'm tired."

 

"I plan to. I won't go out tonight."

August joined them, taking their bowls from them.

"Your beds are made up. Go sleep."

 

Eli headed off to bed and August nodded.

"I'll show you. Come on."

 

The washing station was actually fairly similar to a shower. Water poured from above and was drained through a small hole in the floor.

 

"We don't have a ton of hot water, though, and it gets cold really quick, so you have to be fast."

 

He nodded and left.

 

When she returned, August was finishing cleaning up the dishes.
