"It's their worst crime."
"I don't know much about them. I heard they're pretty bad."
"They are. They don't even like rabbits."

"What about you? Favorite color? Favorite animal?"
"Maybe red and birds."
"Birds... you need to see some real ones, Aspen."
"I'd like that, one day."
"Today. I'll tell Eli to show you when he gets back."
She seemed curious about something, but didn't press much. "Not you?"
"I'm not supposed to go outside."
She tilted her head at him. "Okay then.."
"But you can go when he comes back."
