Firebreeze looks at the tunnel ahead, he thinks, "I've lived here for years, when did that tunnel get there?!"
Thinks again, "it was probably quickly made while I was gone... Too quickly... Denied!" he darts over and down the mountain
Snow saw from a nearby river a fireball fly over the mountain, "Well, looks like Zeph's idea was figured out. Well not what I have planned, no way he's going to shoot this down!" she whispered to herself and walked next to the track.
The two were once again even. Just a little further, and Haze would be in the lead! Just a little... Further....
Snow watched the two get ever closer to her, "Alright Snow show time." and all haze and Firebreeze saw was a seemingly old, black pony step out from the forest and "try" to cross the raging river.
"Should we help her?" asked Haze to Firebreeze. Haze wasn't sure whether they should just leave this poor ol' pony. What if she got hurt?
Edge was looking at Mono blankly and suddenly two same aliens came in "There you are!" Alien 1 said, "Shesh they run fast," they grab Edge and looked up at Mono "Ah! The second one is awake now we can get him to be our slave also," they turned off your cage and suddenly Edge used his magic to grab their guns and blasted them both Edge spit out some kind machine in his mouth "Yes! I can talk!" Edge yelled, "Come on Mono we need to get to the book! It is close,".
"Won't you help a little old pony?" Snow asked, using some descrit magic to hide her true voice, "My son lives on the other side, and I want to see my darling."
Firebreeze darts back, grabs the pony, puts her on the other side and darts back, slightly exhausted, but still determined to win
Zephyr used Snow's distraction and zoomed up ahead to prepare another one of his traps. Pulling a piece of flint and a chunk of steel out of his bag he gripped each item in a separate wing and approached his destination with haste. In front of him stood a vast array of fireworks of different shapes and sizes all set up as though he were ready for some sort of arms race. Each rocket had been attached to a stick and placed in the ground with their wicks all hitched together in the same spot and set to different intervals. Looking over to his right, he spied a rope which still had a bunch of tension on it. Looking over to his left, he could see Snow off in the distance as he awaited the racers. All he needed was a cue.
Haze slowed down for a second or two, to let Firebreeze catch up to just about where he was, before she went full speed ahead again. She was getting a little tired now, but as long as Fire put up a fight, she'd fight back.
After being brought over, Snow fired a small magic fireball that went zooming past Firebreeze and fized away right next to Zephyr, giving him the next cue before teleporting off to the next trap
Seeing the fireball fly overhead, Zephyr immediately began working to light the wick. His wings were clumsy with small object, but he managed to do so in enough time to stay on schedule. His job done, he dropped his tools where he stood and quickly flew over to the stressed rope to await his partner in crime's help to unleash the real trap. The fireworks went off one by one rocketing both past the racers and right in front of them, exploding with large flashes of color and sounds.
Zephyr looked over across the path and gave a mischievous smile to Snow. Nodding his head he kicked over and support the rope had, her doing the same thing at the same time. These actions released a net hurling down the path. He knew any decent Pegasus wouldn't dare be caught getting hit by a few fireworks, they were merely a diversionary tactic. Their bright lights and loud sounds were made to disorient the racers so that the net could accomplish it's job. He chuckled to himself. "Sometimes I amaze myself." (Inner... Track racer... screaming.. MUST... NOT... COMMENT. HNNNGGG)
After pulling the rope, snow instantly teleported to the final trap, not caring to see the end result. (Zephyr, that was HALARIOUS! Man, you guys just crack me up!)
Firebreeze hurled down the path and noticed at net. "ARG! What the heck!" he began to move forward as he flew in circles, using his fire trail as a saw.
As she flew down the last stretch, the finishing line in sight, she noticed something move in the corner of her eye. There was a click and a woosh before she became entangled in a rope net. Unable to move her wings, it was impossible for her to support herself in the air. She fell to the ground with a great thud, pulling at the ropes, trying to find a way out. "How the heck am I to win now!!?" She screamed, trying to drag the net along with her with little success.
