Snow gulped,"What are we going to do. We can't teleport out of here." seeing Ace's confused look decided to explain,"While Dark and I shared a mind, I found out Twilight has surrounded Ponyville with special sheild that would make it to were only corrupted could get in. The only reason why your here now is because Dark wanted to draw you two here to corrupte."

 

"Its of no use Edge. They already know we're here, so why bother. There is only one way out, and that's to fight. I think if I study the corrupted Twilight's essence long enough, I think I will be able to change her back. But that leaves a serious problem, Dark. We can't destroy her because that would kill me in the process. Although we are seprate, we are just two parts to the same conciousness." Snow told him.

 

"Yea... about that. You see, that book you got them from, well, its kinda destroyed. And once a character's home book is destroyed, they can only last about 24 hours, along with anything they might have put togather in this relm. And the library was kinda destroyed as well." Snow said rubbing the back off her neck, "And Dark has been around for about 24 hours now, so your alien friends are probably piles of book dust right now."

 

"Possibly, possibly. One problem, WE ARE ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED BY AN ARMY OF THOUSANDS OF CORRUPTED AND YOU WANT TO WRITE A BOOK!" she yelled back. As if on que, a massive explosion happened downstairs and Snow heard the omnimous voice of Dark say, "KILL THEM, KILL THEM ALL. BUT BRING THAT SNOW TO ME!"

The pure black stream of magic from Dark's horn had collided in air with Snow's pure white stream. Dark concentrated and for a second started driving Snow's magic back, but soon the magic was back in the middle. Dang, she has gotten stronger, Dark thought. The room seemed to heat up from the effort and the sheer amount of power in the room. Then a massive explosion happened, flattening the whole building and sending Dark, the remaining corrupted army, and Twilight flying. Dark looked up from the spot she was hovering from to see an absouletly completely white alicorn emerge from the dust. But something seemed off, the pony looked like it was made of magic then Dark realized something terrible for her. Snow's essence had finally fully emerged, it was brilliant, it was bright, it kept her there in awe. Everypony was staring at the essence pony in amazement, when Dark noticed a bright magic tentacle reach out and grabbed her Princess, Twilight. She watched helplessly as Twilight struggled, then suddenly was overwhelmed in a flash of light, and regular Twilight replaced her. Dark watched in horror as all her dreams were washed away, then anger overwhelmed her, and in a black flash, HER essence self revealed itself. The two essences floated in air in an epic showdown, everypony knowing that this battle would that for better or worse, this would be the defining moment, would Corruption reign with Dark Light at the helm, or would Snow Mark prevail and return Celestia and Luna to the throne. This was that moment.

 

The two essences continued their stare down when Snow's made the first move. A white tentacle whipped out and was blocked last second by Dark's essence and the massive essence battle began. With magic whipping around, incenerating anything unlucky enough to get in the way. The two essances themselves just stared at each other though, dispite all the movement involved.

 

As the fight went on, Dark's esseance somehow got the upperhand and with a massive hit, knocked Snow's from the sky. The essence landed next to the bodies of Ace and Edge and flickered back to Snow. Snow stumbled up and saw as Dark's essence prepared to deliver the final blow. Snow looked at the two, and somewhere inside her a flame light. The massive magical arm swung downwards, ready to destroy Snow forever, and right before it hit, Snow's horn lit up and a massive light sheild appeared over her friends. The arm hit the sheild and fizzed away. Snow had her eyes closed, but when she opened them, her eyes glew not just pure white, but where the irises shoukd be, it was red. Her mane seemed to catch fire as she hovered away from the surface. Soon, her essence was back, but thos time, seemingly on fire. Then, it began a massive assault.

 

Snow's essence was just beating up on Dark's, when it knocked Dark right out of the sky. The essence heard Ace's scream of agony. It landed near Ace's body, dimming down, and the fires becoming soft blue. It gently lifted up the pinning wood board and lifted Ace's body, wrapping it in magic, trying to heal him.

 

The essence nodded and flew off back towards Dark

Dark got up slowly, gritting in pain. Her essence had been defeated, and now it was just her versus that...that thing! She started limping away, hoping to get away when she was suddenly plucked from the ground. She was forced to turn around and saw Snow's essence. The essence pony suddenly shifted back to Snow's true form, being held aloft by magic alone. Dark laughed, "You can't destroy me with out killing yourself!" hoping to break her resolve. All Snow said was "I know." and blackness enclosed her vision.

 

Snow's body collasped to the ground, her mind once more a battlefeild. Dark once again to regain her mind, eventually Snow had beaten back the threat to her mind, and ran to see if Ace was alright, because without Twilight or Dark, the corrupted should have reverted back to normal.
